I heard a report on the Score today while driving into work that contradicts this. They said that based on their "source", Bradley's preference was to play for the A's. But they also implied that it was Bradley's decision to make. I was under the impression that he was still under contract with the Dodgers. In any case, it seems to be another failure by Dusty, the great recruiter.

Bradley is under contract but the Dodgers are sick of his issues and will ship him out for basically anything. If Beane is really offering Zito for him he's out of his mind.

Bradley is arbitration eligible though. If he isn't traded by the end of the week the Dodgers could non tender him and Bradley would become a free agent. Gammons said on Baseball Tonight just a little while ago that the A's are trading for Bradley. Take it for what it's worth.

Are or aren't?

Whoops. Aren't.

What's the date again for Non Tenders?

Thursday.

Thanks.

So then here's 1 rumor that will shake out within the next couple days then, 1 way or the either.

The Dodgers will not get a player like Zito for Bradley. Who reported that load of garbage?

Please Hendry, Please get him.

Then some of the negative board talk will change as well. This place will be more fun to be around and we'll have our RF. Then get Wilkerson, maybe Lugo too.

Thursday.

Nope. December 20th.

Jeff is correct. Thursday is the deadline to offer arbitration to your FA, and those players can either accept or reject. December 20th is the date to tender contracts to your own players.

Isn't the 8th the day teams have to decide to offer arbitration to their arbitration eligible players? Then I thought the players had until the 19th to decide whether to accept or decline arbitration.

So the decision on Bradley has to come on the 8th then, right?

No. Bradley is not a FA. He's arbitration eligible bound to team control. He's in the same boat as Patterson, Zambrano, and Hairston are with the Cubs. A decision on him does not have to come until December 20th.

Duh. Nevermind. I'm being stupid. I was thinking Bradley was a FA.

The Score just reported Bradley is likely to wind up in Oakland :(

Hello, Preston Wilson

Did they actually report it or was it the same speculation they've had all day?

They really don't have a clue. They've repeatedly said it was his choice to go to Oakland so that was the most likely destination. This ignores that he has no choice in the matter.

I too am a little pessimistic, but theres absolutely no place LESS reliable than the Score unless it's that mlbrumors website.

It's the same speculation as earlier, but they have stopped saying Bradley is leaning toward the A's.

I heard: "it's no secret the Cubs are interested in L.A. outfielder Milton Bradley and manager Dusty Baker has even met with him, but it appears the outfielder will end up in Oakland"

Hello, Preston Wilson

Let's make a rule that to stop citing the Score. This radio station doesn't seem to ever report accurate information. Might as well cite a poster on an ESPN board or something.

I've seen nothing from Hendry indicting interest in Preston Wilson.

If we don't cite the Score, CubbieRich might feel slighted.

A Freudian slip?

I think I figured out Coletti's affection for IFs. He was one in Little League. All the OFs made fun of him for being a bad 2B, so he's giving EVERY IF a chance. Lets get Bradley for Walker.
