Those darn computers, and their favoritism :wink: I think looking just at a teams win/loss record is not the best way to evaluate a team. Like I said earlier, if your reasoning were used, it would be Oregon v TCU in a bowl game. I am not going to get into this whole Oregon getting the shaft thing. It is in nearly every weeks football thread. However I don't think that a top 4 team from a BCS conference, and top 6 team from a non-BCS conference is outdated. In fact the top 6 rule is fairly new, in order to assure that teams that don't play in a major conference get a chance. And do you think Oregon would really beat, PSU, OSU, Texas, LSU, Miami, V Tech, Georgia, Michigan, USC, or countless other team from any of the conferences you mentioned. I find that a little hard to believe. Because of the BCS we will never know how Oregon would have done. I also think that this arguement will happen even if there is a playoff as the 5th, 9th or 17th team that isn't picked will feel left out.
