Seems like Barrett has a pattern of swinging early and often after teh guy in front of him takes a walk. I guess he might be thinking that odds are good he'll get a strike. I was always of the opinion that you should take at least the first and maybe even the first two (if the first pitch is a ball) following a BB.
the choppy crappy poopy reception on opening day was not cool. I'm blacked out of Royals, Cards, Rangers, and Astros games. If I weren't so far away from Chicago, I'd tell mlb.tv to shove it.
The cubs made the post season 25% of the time when they had those uni's. . . not a bad deal for the cubs :) I'm also a big fan of baby blue unis and all things 80s.
They got it right in 1982. They began screwing the pooch in '90 and they haven't looked back. http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/exhibits/online_exhibits/dressed_to_the_nines/images/nl_1982_chicago.gif
what game is Brenly watching? Marsh's zone has not been consistent. . . somtimes he calls the low strike. . . sometimes the outside. . . . sometimes he calls the belt high middle of the plate pitch a ball. . . .
Same here. its nowhere near as good as the demo and the mosaic is worse than that. im not seeing anywhere near tv quality. picture quality is great when it's working. . . . i wonder if there is extra volume today?
huh? EVERYONE knows that aramis doesn't hustle! Yeah, if he would have hustled, he would have made it to second standing up. bull crap. With a little hustle he might have scored on that play.
Does anyone remember the website that sells the numbers and letters to be swen onto baseball jerseys? We've bought our 4 year old a jersey and were wanting to get some authentic letters / numbers put on it.
It's pronounced the normal way --- Mah-ken-zee. We threw the "y" in to go along with the "y" in Ryne's name. There's nothing quite like making sure the entire world misspells your children's names. Ryne comes home from church and preschool every week with "Ryan" on his stuff :) One of my friends has already given McKenzye a nick name. . . . . McFaith!
