  1. mlb sucks. blackouts are typically based on zip codes. The fox broadcast usually goes the same. . . . . not today. . . Yanks and Mets!!!!!!
  2. So Lou is putting Guzman there for all eternity?
  3. Yep. I think that was part of the circumstances leading to his demise as a Cub. You can't fault him there. It happened to me many times as well :)
  4. In rare defense of Roger, if the reports are to be believed, he maintains a vigorous physical training regimen during the offseason. You can work out as hard as you want, but there's no substitute for facing live hitters, even if it is just 60 pitches against a Class A team, and he can't face live hitters until he signs a contract with an organization. But yeah, the half-season schtick gets old, no doubt. It's a shame he's too sexy for Spring Training :)
  5. You really have this down to a science :) For now, Ryne really wants to see Barrett and Theriot. He also seems to think that Ryne Sandberg will be there, too.
  6. Good for Farnsworth. I'd pay big money to see Farnsworth body slam Coger to the ground. There are many reasons I detest Clemens. The special treatment he gets is one. If I were a teammate, I'd hate his guts simply because he's really not a team player. For the second straight year, he's pulled this BS of "I'm not gonna pitch til May." Dude, you knew you were going to pitch -- freaking get in shape so you don't have to cost your club millions while you train, cost the millions while you don't freaking play for 2 months, etc, etc. The guy is a first ballot hall of famer and top 5 pitcher of all time. He's a top 5 douchebag as well.
  7. Vance, do you think you can work your magic and help Ryne get a Michael Barret photo or autograph :) Ryne has taken a liking to the Cub signal caller. I have no idea where our seats are, but hopefully we'll see you (and many others) there.
  8. it would take a life threatening illness for hendry to release eyre. suckiness has nothing to do with it (see: Rusch, Glendon)
  9. It scored a %74 overall by gamerankings. Which is just basically an average game. MLB 07 is better graphicswise, and gameplaywise. What is it about it that looks "freakin awesome" to you? I just seen the commercial..Where they show Zambranos face and the rest of the gameplay.they also show wrigley field in it.The graphics are what look phenomanol to me.. The pitching interface is insanely good. The catcher calls the pitch and location. You HAVE to hit your spots. Zambrano is a hoss and can hit his spots okay. A shaky pitcher (aka: the entire cub bullpen) has a real tough time getting men out. I'm so freakin addicted to this game, it's not even funny.
  10. I bought mlb 07 for the ps2 yesterday. I'm in love. . . i think i'll start a new thread
  11. I dozed off in the 7th inning. While in my slumber, I heard them talk about the win, but I still thought "they are so stupid. The cubs lost today." Very sad that my subconscious self assumes Cub losses.
  12. Well, we've had 9 dozen guys thrown out at the plate this weekend. Enough's enough, right?
  13. Is there any way to get 2 out stats for our beloved team? It certainly seems like the opposition does a lot of damage with 2 outs. I could be a complete nut, but not being able to shut down a team once 2 outs have been made is just as much mental as it is physical (talent). I guess it's that swagger or killer instinct that Piniella talked about before the year began.
  14. what? rain? while we're hot? Thank you, God!
  15. he would have been out by 60 feet. that's probably why they didn't call me in for an interview for the 3rd base coaching job :)
  16. Not since the days of Lenny Harris have we had a leadoff hitter that COULD NOT SCORE FROM 2nd ON A SINGLE. Way to go Soriano!
  17. if he can't score on that, he doesn't need to hit lead off. if it was Quade's fault, fire him. . . . .we've had too many 3rd base mishaps on the basepaths.
  18. Cubs lose -- fans complain Cubs win --- fans complain
  19. I'd volunteer to have all Yankee and Red Sox games blacked out in my area. Seriously, it's good that they are trying to do something. Lord knows the blackout rules are dumb as dog crap.
