In rare defense of Roger, if the reports are to be believed, he maintains a vigorous physical training regimen during the offseason. You can work out as hard as you want, but there's no substitute for facing live hitters, even if it is just 60 pitches against a Class A team, and he can't face live hitters until he signs a contract with an organization. But yeah, the half-season schtick gets old, no doubt. It's a shame he's too sexy for Spring Training :)
