definite bush league move on a-rod's part. When a baserunner gets faked out, I'm okay with it --- the runner has to look for his coaches. A runner shouldn't rely on what the opposing teams' fielder does. In this situation with A-rod, the fielder is concentrating on the ball. When someone yells "MINE" that fielder isn't thinking "is that my SS's voice?" No, he's thinking, "I don't want to run into my fielder --- the ball might not get caught. . . . . GET OUT OF THE WAY." Also, isn't the SS the captain of the IF, so it would be very reasonable to think that the SS could call off the 3b on a pop up. I only wish it had happened to A-Rod. I'm sure he would have thrown a fit about it.
