  1. lol, no Carlos Lee for me. Thanks for the help guys.
  2. My thoughts on Lee are that he's a little underrated now because of this injury which shouldn't hold him back for too long. Plus. he should be more mature than other big name pitchers they've hired in the past. IMO, I also think CC is overrated. He's going to have to see plenty of Tampa and Boston...That being said, right now CC does have a higher value. Will he once the season ends? Pedroia and Roberts...there's no debate there. Now, in agreement with your argument I did draft CC before he drafted Pedroia and I also drafted Roberts before he drafted Lee.
  3. LINEUP: Matt Wieters (Bal - C) Carlos Peña (TB - 1B) Brian Roberts (Bal - 2B) Mark Reynolds (Ari - 1B,3B) Yunel Escobar (Atl - SS) Jason Bay (NYM - OF) Bobby Abreu (LAA - OF) Raúl Ibañez Jason Bartlett - Util (TB - SS) Prince Fielder (Mil - 1B) Jacoby Ellsbury (Bos - OF) Alfonso Soriano (ChC - OF) Francisco Rodríguez (NYM - RP) Andrew Bailey (Oak - RP) Chad Qualls (Ari - RP) Franklin Morales (Col - RP) Ryan Madson (Phi - RP) Jake Peavy (CWS - SP) Matt Cain (SF - SP) Tim Lincecum (SF - SP) CC Sabathia (NYY - SP) Huston Street (Col - RP) DL Player notes ROSTER POSITIONS: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P SCORING: Head-to-head (11 x 11) I'm also eyeing Carl Crawford and Wright from his lineup.
  4. Hey guys, I need your thoughts on this. A guy in my league is needing pitching help. He's currently got Cliff Lee and Webb on the DL. He's told me he's interested in CC who I'd be willing to get rid of since he usually starts the season rough and is in the AL East. I'm also concerned with Brian Roberts at second base which is why I'm interested in acquiring Pedroia. Essentially, it would be Pedroia for CC and then Lee and Roberts would be secondary. I'm hoping that Lee's current injury status will equate to Roberts' Spring injury troubles. What do you guys think?
  5. The whole frickin' stadiums an amusement park...anything to keep you from watching the game.
  6. I'd have to say that DJ's more annoying to me. I don't think I've heard any more sunshine pumping than what he does, other than the astros TV and radio guys Milo included (I live a little out of the Houston area). During Saturday's game he spent almost a half-inning talking about how great a hitter one of the sox batter's was and he was only hitting .230+.
  7. Barry Bonds is a whole different can of worms.
  8. You can't blame Barrett on Jim. He was a good pickup...if MB turns it around then you'd probably change your tone. That being said, JJ was a questionable acquisition. Maybe Hendry can work some of the magic he pulled when he got Lee and Murton and Nomar.
  9. What, for the Sanford, Florida baseball hall of fame?
  10. As disappointing as Barrett has been, that's simply not anywhere close to the truth. You're right, I went back an looked at Blanco's numbers and he's sub .200 with 0 HRs and 3 RBIs. I still like his defense over Barrett's. I also think he knows how to handle the pitchers better.
  11. Is this really a lost year??? The Cubs aren't playing that great, but who else is in our division. The first place Brewers just got embarrassed last night. The concern may be with how we compete in the postseason, but if Wild Card baseball has shown us anything, it's that you just need some momentum going into the postseason. The Cubs are not out of it.
  12. Brasky, I can't remember where, but I'd heard that Fox has been pretty much moved to the OF.
  13. Izturis gets hit by a pitch.
  14. Blanco is an upgrade at D, and right now (if he were healthy) his bat would be the equivalent of Barrett's
  15. If I'm not mistaken it happened in the last Braves game. There was a similar situation in the astros game and last night. Our bullpen is righting the ship. Now our offense is not doing their part.
