  1. Umm, the Cubs work the count draw walks and get timely hits, while the Marlins retire by the time I get out of the bathroom. Am I in bizarro world??
  2. He had one right in his wheel house. It's good to take pitches, but it's not good to take strikes. But the way Leiter was throwing there was a good chance he could have made him work even more. It could go either way there
  3. Seriously that was the most rewarding inning I've seen in some time. It's like a kid waking up on Christmas morning and getting everything he hoped and prayed for.
  4. So let me get this straight, Grady Little doesn't leave Marshall in too long, and his closer blows the lead for him. The guy just can't win can he?
  5. Hairston has been nothing but a stud since he started getting in the lineup. I love all the OBP potential in this lineup!!! :) (Yes I know 2 secs ago I was negative and now I'm positive)
  6. These are Cubs I remember. Thanks for the one day reprieve :)
  7. Pat sounded genuinely suprised that Neifi actually got a hit
  8. Off topic: what does your avatar stand for? Its "Yankee HATER" I've been meaning to change it though. It looks too much like the real Yankees logo
  9. Yup, Kerry should have just thrown a strikeout pitch, what a moran
  10. First Lowell and now Conine what is up with giving up HRs to hitters that have been struggling with power this year?
  11. Well now the only benefit of going through 5 is to keep Lee's HR on the books
  12. I forgot who is pitching, but lets hope he doesn't leave him in long after he's effective
  13. Please Kerry, we know you like a challenge, but no first inning runs please. For once...
  14. Happy memories of Ramirez pullin a HR just fair :)
  15. Why are you guys happy with his numbers. You thought Corey was bad, Murtons OBP is actually TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY POINTS LOWER then his BA! With numbers that bad, I don't see how he can retain a spot in the bigs  ;)
  16. Don't worry, I don't think anyone is going to watch this game, looking at the radar
  17. Montreal? I think (hope) it was a joke
  18. Well Jim Hendry certainly succeeded in taking the heat off the losing streak in my personal book, because I haven't been excited for a game in a few weeks like I am tonight. It almost doesn't feel like we are on a lifeless 8 game losing streak
  19. Thanks for digging through all my useless comments and finding the gold of that chat DJAXX! :)
  20. A positive Corey thread? And all it took was a humiliating trip to the minors. Well anyways, good luck Corey. I may not be your biggest fan, but I am also very fickle if you know what I mean :). Go out there and mash the ball, but only if you've worked the count and waited for your pitch.
  21. I might be a buyer for either of you guys...stay tuned
  22. Mods are going to have a long night ahead of them moving all those Corey Patterson thread to the Minor League forum
