  1. OK we got our offensive TD, we need the D to step up and great a turnover. Bulls last night came back from a 14 point 4th quarter defecit, can the Bears come back from an 18 point 4th quarter defecit???
  2. Orton almost threw for more in those 2 passing plays then he did all of last week in Green Bay
  3. TD!!! So maybe the game plan was flawed...? lol either that or we got some good receivers
  4. It's not all of his fault, they need a #2 WR, a TE, and some decent playcalling, but he hasn't been good enough to be a starting QB especially on a team likely to win 10-11 games. I want to see Grossman, to see if it would be worth moving up in the draft to address QB. I think they can work with Moose, Bradley, and Berrian. I'd like a legit #2 WR, but I think with the latter 2, Currie and Berlin, you have a chance to have a decent WR corps. TE is a necessity. Just start with 3 new ones in 06. Sign one, draft one early, draft one late. I'm not sure on Bradley now, speed WR coming off a serious knee injury around week 5. Rivera needs to bust their "___" in practice, put the team outside and work this team for a week. I doubt it has anything to do with their effort, but I'm getting sick of seeing those fluff stories on the news showing the Bears dancing and singing and stuff during practice. Time to buckle down and get serious.
  5. Wow, one bad game and you don't think they're playoff caliber and that Carolina and TB were both fluke wins? Sorry, the Bears aren't the Colts. lol, I'm just frustrated. But the Bears game plan of running the ball, getting a lead and controlling the ball is rather fragile. All it takes is a opponent TD and the plan is shattered as we've seen today. 9-4 after today...fragile? Yeah fragile. It hasnt happened much, but I'm saying in a playoff game against a team like Seattle, then get a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and we might as well pack our bags for Chicago But you're faulting the plan...the problem is the talent. The defense is there (today not withstanding), but the offensive talent just isn't there. Thats what I'm saying, the plan is a result of the talent on offense. I'm certainly not suggesting that the Bears open up and start gunning the ball all over the field. But my point was the game plan, as a result of the talent, makes the Bears a fragile football team come playoff time.
  6. Is that 4 Forced Fumbles that we didnt recover

  9. Looked like Idonje. I think Idonje recovered the fumble
  10. Could be because hes not good, he overthrows receivers on the regular, he can't make adjustments after the ball is snapped. I will admit he hasnt been terrible today, just slightly below average. The weakness in the Bears offense today was getting behind early and not being able to establish the running game.
  11. God, I predicted Steelers 27-7 before the game, but its still not any easier to watch...Guess those Carolina and TB games were flukes. Overall I don't know if this team is even close to a playoff caliber team.
  12. I am by no means a scouting expert, but my understanding of Hill is that he had one great pitch (Curve), one decent pitch (Fastball) and the rest was junk. That kinda stuff will fool Minor league hitters, but in the majors, it was only a matter of time before he was partially figured out. Obviously this stuff can be improved upon with more seasoning, but I wouldn't put Hill in the untouchable realm yet. I'd rather have proven Tejada then unproven Hill on the team. I'm kinda on the fence on the issue of Hill's value, but I think that if the right player comes around, no unproven prospect is untouchable
  13. I wouldn't be suprised if we value Prior a lot more then fans/writers of other teams do
  14. Why so high on Milton? Guy has never played a complete season and only played over 100 game twice in his many years. Getting him would be a prototypical cubs pickup of getting some guy who is going to blow a ligament 2 weeks into the season. Maybe because in limited time he has shown the potential to put up good numbers and Hendry would be hoping to catch a stroke of luck and have MB put it together for relatively cheap. Of course, Hendry would be playing "Moneyball" with a large market team
  15. Just looking over at the site Deadspin. They have a running feature about run ins people have with athletes, and this one stood out to me. It is about the 1993 Cubs, and focuses on Sammy. The whole story (more added) can be found at: http://deadspin.com/sports/baseball/athlete-runin-sammy-sosa-way-back-when-141350.php
  16. That's not entirely true. Those guys Tinker, Evers & Chance were a bunch of jack rabbits !! 1908 Team stolen bases CUBS 212 Philadelphia 200 Cincinnati 196 Pittsburgh 186 New York 181 St. Louis 150 Boston 134 Brooklyn 113 LMAO
  17. Give them Iowa and West Tennessee for Cabs and Willis Edit: And I don't just mean the teams, I mean give them the state of Iowa and Western Tennessee (or just Jackson, TN)
  18. Whats funny is they gave teams like the Diamondbacks a C because they "havent done anything yet", which is exactly why its stupid to make an article grading teams on the offseason so far.
  19. I don't know if someone posted this, but he also said this in talking about the Braves offseason: Are you kidding me?
  20. Hendry should quit and be the GM of a small market team where holding onto prospects is essential
  21. Looks like they might retool and make the World Series before the Cubs.
  22. Damn, I knew the all you can eat buffet at the Winter Meetings was a bad thing. Hendry, get off your butt and do something.
  23. Are you taking me? Are you under the age of 3? Maybe I can get you in that way....;)
