  1. Not so far this season. VS AB H K BB AVG OBP SLG OPS lefties 68 13 20 3 .191 .225 .309 .534 righties 233 59 58 13 .253 .293 .416 .709 Sad that seeing him hit .253 at something seems awesome
  2. Again, because Dubois is a different type of player then Cedeno, I could potentially buy that. But look at May, where he at one time started 17 out of 19 games. His numbers for May were less then stellar: .224/.268/.403/.671. How much time do we need to give him? Eventually he would catch on, as Cedeno might, but I don't think Cedeno is goin to go in there and be a perfect top of the order hitter without some time to adjust. If he does need adjusting, then you are just as well of hitting Neifi 2 as Cedeno.
  3. If Lance Carter can be an All Star, Sisco certainly can. The 1B and OF are deep, Tony Graffanino sadly might be an option as well except the fact this his power numbers at a power position are not adequate. So yeah, I'm buying Sisco for All Star game (followed by a swift departure to the Cubs minor league system ;))
  4. I think he'd be well-suited to the two spot at this point. He'll see plenty of strikes hitting in front of Lee, has a very respectable AVG/OBP, and could contribute effectively there from the get-go. Might as well give him those opportunities and acclimate him to hitting at the top of the order, ya know? That is a logical theory, but don't forget good OBP in the minors doesn't always translate into good OBP once they get into the show. For instance, Dubois had a .389 OBP with Iowa last year, but since he's arrived in the majors he has had a terrible K/BB rate. Not saying this will happen to Cedeno, seeing as how he is a different type of player, but I still think that for now he needs to prove his ability to get on base consistantly in a less pressure filled position in the lineup.
  5. This year yes, but those look about AGone's numbers at SS in 2003
  6. Adding to the 1-2 problem, here is a list of situations Derrek Lee has come up in the last 4 games. See a problem here. (These are in reverse order) AB 1 - 1 ON, 1 0UT AB 2 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 3 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 4 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 1 - 0 ON, 2 OUT AB 2 - 2 ON, 2 OUT AB 3 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 4 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 1 - 1 ON, 0 OUT AB 2 - 0 ON, 2 OUT AB 3 - 0 ON, 1 OUT AB 4 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 1 - 0 ON, 2 OUT AB 2 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 3 - 0 ON, 0 OUT AB 4 - 0 ON, 2 OUT
  7. Could be. I missed the question during today's postgame, but I heard a response from Baker that was: "Until we get a full-time leadoff hitter"
  8. I was almost a little disapointed that Novoa didn't walk in a run so I could use the "You can't walk across the plate" quote.
  9. Yeah they should be called "Believe! (and maybe with dumb luck it will eventually happen...but don't count on it)" Braclets
  10. I was gonna comment on the game, but I have no comments on the game or this team.
  11. I just heard Bill Holdem has just left Wrigley Field and is walking back after watching 3 innings of this team.
  12. [quote=vance_the_cubs_fan ]Lee is in a mini-slump right now. Mini? I think his avg dropped 20 point in the past 8 games or so. Of course when your average is that high its not that hard
  13. This is just laughable. Oh well when Neifi gets out, the top of the order will be due up next inning with out leadoff guy, Derrek Lee
  14. Should Prior be bunting here with the bottom of the order up (in actuality the top)
  15. The funny thing is, odds are that eventually Corey and Neifi will both get a hit or two on the same day and it will justify Dusty's piss poor managing decisions
  16. I have a lot of friends that are Boston fans, and I pretty much know what to expect based on their reactions that fateful night. They took all the fun out of it :(
  17. Seriously, I'm unaware of any "charge" of Pujols supporters. In STL, Lee being the starter is not an issue, or even anything worth wasting a minute debating.... Sorry to disappoint you, but if Lee wins the starting spot, The Cardinal fans I'm associated with - won't mind at all. Good, now if we can get them off their Rolen kick....
  18. This is not going to end well Edit: Hmm, I guess this could be my 50 words or less prediction too...
  19. So umm...I got offered free tickets to the game durin the first inning, I umm got there just as the Cubs tied it up 5-5. And umm the Brewers outscored us 5-1 when I got there. I can't believe my luck
  20. Oh no! Cardinal's fans are hacking the system!
  21. Derrek Lee would be ashamed of you
  22. Yeah St. Louis in left, Milwaukee in right. How about a Goose Island sign somewhere?
  23. .339 45 HR 128 RBI This is based on the fact that Dusty and lineup cards are like oil and vinegar.
  24. Haha, with the way Dusty makes the lineups lately, isn't it desirable to want his throwaway lineup in there? This means you get Dubois, Hairston, Cedeno and Barrett (considering the rate that Blanco is catching our starters)
  25. That'd be funny if they took a shot at the Brewers seeing as how Miller is pretty much ingraned in everything Milwaukee
