  1. OK, I'll admit, I copied the home team wrong on the linescore. I like having the winning team listed on top so I manipulated it to my benefit But everything else is wrong
  2. except it isnt.... Texas 0 0 3 Oakland 7 8 0 Oh no, sportsline lies!
  3. I know its completely in our best interest to root for the Cardinals here, but I just can't do it. Just someone win and I'll deal with it at a later date
  4. In other non-jinxing news, the following is the linescore for the Oakland-Texas game: Bot 7 in Oakland Oakland - 7 7 0 Texas - 0 0 1
  5. You think 5 wins in a row is a lot? Try winning 15 in a row, which would only offset your two biggest losing streaks of the year. Bums.
  6. Cool, Iowa gets 2 in the 8th to take the lead and JVB gets the save as the Iowa Cubs win 3-2. I like this minor league stuff :) BTW: Corey 0-3, SB, HBP Dubois 2-4 RBI
  7. Hopefully? My friends have gone down at game time the last two games and gotten tickets no problem for face value. You should have no worries. Just get there closer to gametime if you want to get them around face.
  8. Welcome to my world, I have been feeling the same way since the Cubs got Nomar and regressed into suckatude shortly after. I have no faith for this team to play like the contenders they are built to be. Sure little winning streaks like this increase the optimism a bit, but mostly I wait for the other shoe to drop, because every single time in the past 2 seasons (or you could argue 97 years), it has
  9. Oh well, at least we will jump the Mets and maybe the Astros
  10. The Jaxx game was PPD due to rain. Looks like we'll have to wait ANOTHER day for them to be back in action...
  11. Looks like Corey is 0-1 but reached and stole a base. Rich Hill gave up a solo HR, 1-0 Omaha in the second right now
  12. Remember 7-8-9's like: Gonzalez-Bako-Clement. This is so much better lol
  13. He's the pitching equivelant of Corey Patterson *ducks* (only kidding...) no he isn't he's white. No way will Chicago turn on him like it has our players the past 4 years. Are you implying Cubs fans are racist? kinda makes one wonder. Alf Sosa Hawkins Patterson but as pointed out Hundley got it bad. But we also loved Sosa (when he was good), gave Alou a break when he sucked in 2002 and stretches of the next two years despite a big contract. We hated Alf, Sosa, Hawkins, Patterson because they sucked We also hated Estes when he sucked too

  16. Are we allowed to still rip on the Cubs for sucking after the game has started ;)
  17. ^^ doubt you'll be able to convince our pitch count experts here :)
  18. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=rogers_phil&id=2107335 Pretty good article. I figured its worth posting for those who don't visit ESPN.com regularly. I still think its a terrible idea to bring him up this season, although the comparisons to Patterson are not fair to the kid.
  19. Saw this on the ESPN.com Insider Rumor page: Would be interested to see what we could do with that. With Wang going on the DL could we see: Patterson and Rusch + prospect for Sheffield I doubt it because the Yankees are contending now and Rusch doesnt seem like the impact pitcher that the Yankees would be looking for. But it's worth thinking about
  20. I'm not sure about street price. For whatever reason, after releasing a ton of great seats for today's game, they haven't released any for the Friday and Saturday games. I'm hoping that changes, though. Kids 2 and under don't need a ticket, so unless you think she can pass for 1 or 2, she will need one. SRO tickets are sold when the box office opens the morning of the game. I don't know how you could manage that with a 4-year-old, though. By the way, it's obviously too late now, but they even released dugout and bullpen seats this morning for today's game. I'm guessing they released a lot of tickets for today's game because it was a makeup game. But yeah, the street value has been low all year. I've been able to consistantly get tickets below face value if you are willing to wait until game time. My friend was even able to get $32 seats for the first Red Sox-Cubs game for $40 by waiting until the game started. I would expect to pay face value or slightly more considering its a Saturday in July and the Cubs have been playing better recently.
  21. Believe it or not, but the Cubs have played .500 ball over the last 16 games. Two four game winning streaks sandwhiched around an eight game losing streak. Not great, but considering how bad it got, I'll take it. And look at that, we're a .500 team again
