    Maybe they're like the Cubs. They haven't seen the pitcher's junk before, so they don't know what to do with it. The Cubs were like that with Davies and Colon. I dunno, they hit the G-Unit quite well

    Daily Corey update: 2-5 HR, 2B, 2 RBI, K Not bad....I'm guessing his stats aren't the most important thing here as these games are more likely being treated like Spring Training games where Corey is more focused on changing things and getting into a stride with his swing.

    Yet Dusty dispatched Cox & his Braves in the playoffs rather handily... How do you figure? Both times they faced each other in the playoffs, Bakers squad won in the deciding game. So what are you arguing for? Isn't that what I just said? You said they dispatched the Braves "rather handily" but winning 2 series that could go either way doesnt seem handily. Point taken though.

    Thanks for the insight Joe Morgan. No, His keys would look something more like this: 1. Play Good defense. When you play defense, you win ballgames. Just look at the Reds back when I played. 2. Score runs, You have to score runs. Remember the reds??? We scored alot. 3. You have to have a good Pitc....DID YOU KNOW I PLAYED FOR THE REDS OMG WE WERE SO GREAT HAHA!!!!!! WOW! 4. Having Barry Bonds will help at all these. Barry Bonds has won several gold gloves. Barry Bonds can score alot of runs, and Barry Bonds can make your pitcher better. One time I asked Barry if I could lick his butt. Joe Buck inturrupts: Albert Pujols may be even better then Barry Bonds. Look at his flawless defense which backs up his Ruthian bat. The NL starter Carlos Lee could never hold a jock strap to Pujols, not even for one year. GO CARDS!

    This is more of a trivia question here: In what instances can a scorer award a win or a save to someone who does not qualify under conventional rules and can anyone show an example of this occuring (especially a win, saves are done a few times a season)

    I know its just one loss, but their play gave me no reason to believe that they are anything more then a .500 team overall

    Hmm your right. Other then Sept 24 vs. Houston (which I guess was done so it could be easily converted to a Fox game if need be). Strange I never noticed that.

    Any reason for the odd start time? When is the last time a non-national TV game has started at 3:05?

    Stupid question, but no love for Montanez yet? I know he has tons to prove yet, and one good season vs. several bad ones does not make a top prospect, but he's finally moving back up in the system again and is having a great year. Shouldn't he be at least an honorable mention especially considering how fast most prospects rise or fall on people's lists (Richard Lewis comes to mind) over the course of one season.
