  1. Don't forget... according to jesus aka bill james, lead-off hitters don't matter! Well no matter who is leading off, they still need to perform the roles of a leadoff hitter.
  2. Ugh, I love Theriot, but down 2-0 as a leadoff hitter, its not the time to stretch a double into a triple..
  3. Honestly the way this rain is looking, I'm wondering if they get tomorrow's game either.
  4. If a DH was called tomorrow, who would start?
  5. Ask Kenny Williams
  6. 4 hits yesterday, 4 hits today. We really need to step up the offense boys. But lets not worry about that, let's just get the outs and be done today.
  7. I live 5 blocks away and its drizzling as well
  8. Suspended? huh? new MLB rule, implicated this season I'm sure they'll finish this off tonight though. I know about the new rule, but I'm not sure how it applies to this situation? does it have something to do with the fact that they had the tying run up? So if the Cubs were up 5-4 with 2 outs, no one on and an 0-2 count the game would be suspended? Doesn't sound right to me

  10. It's hard when everything is being lined hard at him
  11. Wood hasn't looked all the great and this is a pivotal game. We've got a 3 run lead. He needs to work his kinks out so he can be a valuable part of the pen coming down the stretch. You say that like a 3 run lead is safe? not entirely, but we're facing a horrible lineup (save pujols) and it's STILL a 3 run lead. You're acting like its a tie game against the '27 yankees. And Pujols is due up second this inning So Woody can't face any good batters, even with a 3 run lead? How's he going to get his confidence? Haha, I was on the opposite side of the argument a second ago. I just like to play devil's advocate

  13. Wood hasn't looked all the great and this is a pivotal game. They are all pivotal at this point. Are we only going to pitch him in blowouts?
  14. Like saying the same thing twice, much, dr. redundancy. ;-) I originally had writen that differently, forgot to take out the second 'hits' before submitting. My bad.
  15. Phew. We are living on the edge today. How about some runs. We are being outhit 10-8 hits so far this series and we've outscored them 7-3
  16. He can throw from the backstop to home
  17. Yes, I'd like a DP here, but if we get a sac fly here I'm not too pissed. Better than bases loaded 0 outs
  18. Oh gosh, tying run up. Not liking this game.
  19. He was pitching to one of the top 5 hitters in the game. If Pujols was the only one he did that to today your point would be stronger. He pitched solid but not great up to that point today.
  20. Well 4 innings from the bullpen today. Z better conserve pitches tomorrow. Looks like Marmol, Wuertz, Howry, Dempster (3rd day in a row)
  21. If Smarshall can throw a solid inning here I'll feel better about this game
