  1. We lost the first game against Pittsburgh
  2. I can't believe I bought into the whole "I have a contract so now I can concentrate" excuse. You suck sometimes Z
  3. Good thing he got that contract so he can focus on baseball.
  4. Tornado Watch/Warning has more to do with the type of weather pattern than actually spotting a tornado. If a system has the right elements for a tornado, then the watch/warning will go out, regardless of whether or not a tornado has actually been spotted. Weather.com says: Outshined is right about watches though. You guys are under a tornando warning. A tornado watch means conditions are ripe for a tornado but there haven't necessarily been any. A tornado warning means a tornado has been spotted. Watches tend to cover larger regions while warnings are localized. I realize that, I misreported the news. I saw warning, but heard there were tornadoes touching down, and thought that watch was worse. Damn Cubs, Cain is settling down.

  6. Chicagoans, there is a tornado watch in Cook County. Have no idea where the tornado was spotted though
  7. You mean like the .304/.360/.474/.838 he's put up over the last 7 days? Not great numbers but not terrible either
  8. I can't believe its 0-0 because it seems like the Cubs should have plated 2-3 already
  9. Good, not dominating, pitching to the bottom of the order.
  10. That's all he does nowadays. While it is true that Z naturally has a quick swing, the uppercut is not natural.. He's a pitcher and he's paid to pitch. Well yeah, but you'd think he could afford a 10 minute session with the hitting coach to fix his swing a bit since he is that much more valuable when he can hit.

  12. 1-0 Cubs, runners on second and 3rd with one out for Z!!! Oh wait..
  13. Only 16 pitches for Z, I think thats a first inning record for him.
  14. Blah, swinging for the fences for some reason...no HRs hit this series yet. I know the ball carries better in day games but c'mon
  15. This isn't old. At all. Hendry's crappy signings are. Ted Lilly...good. Marquis...ok. Soriano...ok. DeRosa...good. Howry...decent. Eyre...ok. Rammy...good. Z...good. Perez...awful Jones...ok Blanco...bad Floyd...ok My corrections.
  16. Least we did something finally? Can't complain if he only plays against lefties: .302/.317/.542/.859 against lefties .190/.244/.309/.552 against righties
  17. Yeah that was one of the most predictable suicide squeezes I've ever seen. I was predicting it before the AB started, and when the count was 3-1 I was just praying that they wouldnt screw it up.
