    Andrew Miller and Cameron Maybin = Touchable. Sam Flud = Untouchable. This is why we don't win. I don't care if I'm taking the quote out of context. It's just stupid really. I come on here in the morning hoping to read rumors of some new names being floated around for the Cubs, and instead I read that our 91st best prospect is untouchable.

    If you feel like answering one more question Bruce. Your odds that the following happen: -Cubs don't trade Prior -Cubs trade Prior to a division rival (i.e. Reds) My biggest fear is seeing Prior rise again with a team like Cincinnati. Even if you don't get to my question, thanks for the impromptu Q/A session. It's one thing to answer questions when sitting in the press box at Wrigley, its another to come on here after running around a hotel convention room all day!

    Man I really don't want Boston to get another superstar. Garnett, Allen, Moss, Santana in the last year. Meanwhile, Chicago's top superstars are Brian Urlacher, Carlos Zambrano, umm....Ben Wallace?

    You guys know why JH is doing this right? 2005 - Copies WS Champ Red Sox and acquires "character guys" 2006 - Copies WS Champ White Sox and acquires gritty scrappy guys 2007 - Copies WS Champ Cardinals and acquires bad overrated/over the hill players (Floyd, Monroe, Kendall, Marquis) 2008 - Copies WS Champ Red Sox and looks for lefties (Red Sox had 4 players who could hit lefty in their every day lineup - 2 were switch hitters)

    Two separate transactions, obviously. Although, if Beane liked a prospect or two on some team interested in Prior, that could help. Whoops, you mean Craig Monroe really isn't being traded for Carl Crawford?

    Im sorry if this was discussed in the previous Prior trade, but what sort of trade value does Prior have? I was under the impression he could be traded for something like 2 mid-level prospects or something like that. Now his name is being thrown around with Swisher?

    Damn, I felt dirty rooting for the Cowboys last night. The Packers surprised me. Despite having a very good D, I thought their team was wildly overrated, but they showed me that they can compete with the big boys last night.

    As long as the Cardinals aren't involved, or I guess any other NLC team, I have no interest in making a trade for Santana. We might have a $150 million payroll if we do and still not be World Series contenders.

    Just doesn't make sense. What the hell did DeRosa do last year that deserved to get him benched for a lesser player? I understand he'll probably still get 400 ABs, but the fact that he has to move out of his position to appease a lesser player enrages me. I guess DeRosa was his flavor of the month last year and now hes casting him aside for his new flavor.

    Man could you imagine in a year like this how awesome a playoff would be? There is clearly no dominant 1-2 teams this year...there is probably about 9-10 teams of a similar skill level that are in there, and its the teams that have lost the longest ago that are in there for the title game. I think its absoultely insane that an SEC team will not be playing for the championship simply because there is so much talent spread across the conference. Look at some of the first round matchups for a 16 team playoff taken off their current BCS rank. Obviously a real playoff would probably seed conference champions first and then at large but still, you get the picture. 1. Missouri 16. Clemson 8. USC 9. Oklahoma 4. Georgia 13. Arizona State 5. Kansas 12. Hawaii 3. Ohio State 14. Tennessee 6. Virginia Tech 11. Boston College 7. LSU 10. Florida 2. West Virginia 15. Illinois I see the potential for 5-6 upsets in that first round. Even an 8 team playoff wouldnt be that bad 1. Missouri 8. USC 4. Georgia 5. Kansas 3. Ohio State 6. Virginia Tech 2. West Virginia 7. LSU

    Excellent Kerry, I really appreciate his loyalty to this team. Most players would head elsewhere after years of injuries and trying years, but Kerry is a team player. He may never be an All Star or a Hall of Famer again like he was projected to be way back when, but he will always be a memorable Cub to me.
