  1. I must admit, I think I gave up on Fontenot too early.
  2. A 2 out run scoring rally! See? This team is turning things around.
  3. Thatta boy Geo! Almost got that...I thought it was gone.
  4. Z is trying to nibble too much on 2 strike counts.
  5. C'mon stay out of too much trouble Z. I want good Z today.
  6. I wish I could have seen the ceremony....unfortunately stupid Cubs fans illegally parked all over my neighborhood and caused me to spend 25 minutes finding a parking spot within a 1 mile radius of my house. The $50 tickets they get wont be enough
  7. Haven't you ever seen Rocky?
  8. Let him walk and use the money you save to trade for a big. John Salmons can replace 85% of what Gordon did offensively and is much better defensively. You need to allocate your resources, and with Salmons signed to a good deal, Gordon is a tab bit redundant. Don't get me wrong, I really like Gordon, his is the only current Bulls jersey I know, and I know hes a terrific offensive player. But we have to be smart here, and being smart is using our money to trade for a low post player like Bosh if available. If no good post players are available, I'd hold onto that money for 2010.
  9. I noticed that Theriot had been driving the ball a lot more the last week or so. He had several hit balls that were more long fly balls than line shots. Honestly, I don't want Theriot to get too full of himself. He's at his best when he's hitting those line drive singles into RF, not when he's trying to hit HRs.
  10. That's really rough that we drew Volstad and Nolasco in this series.
  11. We'll win both in Chicago. I promise you. Up 3-1 going back to Vancouver? I'll take it!
  12. The Chicago Bulls are better than the team we just lost to (minus Garnett) and that's about all I can say right now. It's not sour grapes, its the truth.
  13. I personall think the Packers could be favorites for the division, but I can understand it not being the consensus pick.
  14. Ahh yes. I guess I've forgotten about doing that due to Milton's injury, his suckiness, the Cubs general suckiness, and my general indifference towards the Cubs this season for many reasons. Today, Carlos presented Milton with a very special black guy. Milton needs a laugh after a rough couple of weeks, so Carlos presented him with this man.... http://msnbcmedia3.msn.com/j/msnbc/Components/Photos/040803/040803_daveChappelle_vmed_10a.widec.jpg "I'm Rick James, [expletive]!"
  15. Oh.... you'll think of somebody !! I never ripped Soto lol
  16. Wait, if Geo shows signs of life, who the hell is NSBB going to rip on?
  17. Definitely didn't look like it. Our perceptions are probably skewed though because most of us can't imagine what Theriot hitting the ball hard enough to go out of the park looks like.
  18. Whoops, last night...but I didnt watch the game so that doesnt count
  19. It's funny that it's the 22nd game of the year, and when the Cubs have a small lead going into the 7th inning, I have no idea who the 7th inning man will be, and I have no idea how the Cubs will fare in this situation. When is the last game the Cubs had a 1 or 2 run lead going into the 7th inning?
  20. Well Theriot picked a good time to hit his 1 home run this year. Better now than with a 10-1 lead sometime in July
  21. I still think we're going to bounce back from this and laugh about it in a few months.... ....but if we don't you guys will all be begging me to turn back into an irrational pessimist.
