    its pretty bad, i love it though. If you plan on watching this service though, i doubt it would last an entire game on a full charge. I watched the last three innings and it killed 40% of my battery. For a typical three hour game, your battery will die. Yeah, its more of a "follow the game on Gameday and switch over to video for big situations" kinda feature. The quality looks great though. I guess it auto adjusts the video quality depending on whether you are streaming from Wifi or 3G. Now I just need to find a way to get past the blackout restrictions.

    We scored a run!!!!!!!! When u see Lee make horrible contact and ground it right to the 2b, and you see that even that allowed a run to score in that situation, you wonder how we manage to screw that up almost everytime

    Yet its strange that HR numbers went down sharply when they started to test for steroids. Only not. The new policy was handed down in 2005, but the differences in the home run rates pre-2005 and post-2005 are not particularly telling of anything, especially if you think of steroids as having flourished in baseball starting in the mid-90s. To say the numbers have gone down sharply is incorrect. Yeah I couldn't find the stats before I posted that. What has gone down though is the number of HRs the top HR hitters are hitting. Hitting 40 HRs was almost a prerequesite to be called a power hitter a few years back. Now you might win a HR title with 40 HRs.

    Yeah I downloaded the NCAA Tournament app that streamed Tourney games and the quality and speeds were great. I had no problems playing games on WiFi, and althought they didn't allow you to stream video on 3G, I read that it was an issue of bandwidth from AT&T, not because they couldn't stream properly.

    OK, one more stat. The Cubs lead Major League baseball in least runs allowed this season (ok tied with the Dodgers) with 249 RA. Unfortunately, they are 28th in baseball in runs scored with 254 (11 ahead of Seattle). 1st and 28th averages to around 14th, meaning the Cubs are about an average team...one game under .500 makes sense.

    Absolutely unbelievable that this sale is going on its third year. It hadn't really hurt the actual team until this year, but this is just ridiculous. The Padres got sold over the offseason. I know the Cubs being what they are is a much more complex deal but geez.

    Another bizarre stat for the Cubs. Alfonso Soriano (our leadoff hitter), leads the team with just 28 RBIs. How bad is that? Well, take a look at how it compares to other teams RBI leaders: (The first number is how many hitters have more than 28 RBIs, the second number is how many RBIs the leader has) ARI - 2, 45 ATL - 3, 35 BAL - 4, 44 BOS - 4, 63 CHW - 3, 41 CIN - 3, 43 CLE - 4, 49 COL - 4, 47 DET - 3, 42 FLA - 5, 43 HOU - 3, 40 KAN - 2, 30 LAA - 4, 51 LAD - 5, 44 MIL - 4, 63 MIN - 5, 55 NYY - 5, 55 NYM - 2, 39 OAK - 3, 38 PHI - 6, 59 PIT - 3, 34 SDG - 2, 43 SFO - 3, 39 SEA - 3, 40 STL - 3, 58 TAM - 5, 59 TEX - 4, 46 TOR - 6, 47 WAS - 4, 46 Some interesting things pulled from that - Every team has at least 2 guys with more RBIs than the Cubs best RBI guy - The Phillies and Blue Jays each have 6 GUYS with more RBIs than the Cubs leader. The Jays actually have a 7th hitter, who is tied with Soriano with 28 RBIs. 7/9 hitters have as many or more RBIs than the Cubs best guy - Every team but 3 in the league has at least one guy with 10 more RBIs than Soriano - All in all, 107 different players have more RBIs than Soriano's 28. Unbelievable Crazy stats...

    Here's what I would do for the next few games to shake things up. 1) Sit Soriano for the rest of the week (4 games) and let him clear his head and give whatever injury he might have a rest 2) Play Jake Fox in LF for the next 4 games 3) Play Andres Blanco at SS 4) Play Theriot at 2B (Fontenot staying at 3B) 5) Move Fukudome to leadoff and tell him to concentrate on getting on base whatever way possible New Lineup: Fukudome (L) Theriot ® Bradley (S) Fox ® Lee ® Fontenot (L) Soto ® Blanco (S) Not ideal, but about as good as it gets. Blanco isn't exactly a great offensive option, but it gets Miles out of the lineup.

    0 home runs, 4 walks, and 8 total runs in the first 4 games of the homestand. That's an average of 2 runs, 1 walk and 0 home runs per game. Not gonna win a ton like that. Overall, over the last 25 games, we've scored just 72 runs, an average of 2.88 runs per game. So for almost 1/6th of the season we've averaged less than 3 runs per game. I also heard on the radio that the Cubs have scored 1 run or less in 10 of the last 25 games they've played. Unbelievable.

    The thing that bothers me is that there was no one phase of the game that was even remotely as awful as the Cubs offense right now. In 2007 we had issues everywhere but other than mental errors there was nothing glaringly wrong. On the positive side, if the Cubs can in fact correct their offense they are in a much better spot than the 07 team.

    Haha, what? Haven't they won a couple in a row? The makings of a hot streak. They aren't great teams but they do get hot and cold like everyone else.

    Lou just said that it's getting to the point where he's gonna have to make some tough decisions regarding the lineup. Bench Soriano, Fontenot, Soto, MILES?

    Brewers and Cardinals look to be getting hot. Cubs better watch out or they'll be out of the race before they realize it

    I know what you mean man. It pisses me off because the 86 Cubs, although they lost around 90 games, was a team of finishers too. An awful team if I've ever seen one but if they just found a way to get the MLB to let them play in the playoffs, I know they would have finished as champs. That's just the way they were.

    He's having a rough year, but John Danks absolutely isn't a mediocre pitcher. He's a good pitcher with really good stuff, but has been very inconsistent this year. Correct me if I'm wrong but his problems start when he has control issues. The cubs have severely regressed their plate discipline this year so it makes sense he's doing so well today.
