  1. Reminds me of past Cub teams with their inconsistency.
  2. Nice job getting past the error Heilman. That's what I want to see out of you.
  3. To bring up Cub killer Hunter Pence? He'd take Lilly deep. shows what you know. 8-[ Haha...pretty damn close.
  4. You gotta admit he's stepped up these last 2 games. I went from scared to death of him before the series, so cautiously optimistic after the first game, to not scared of him after the second game, and now back to petrified of him.

  6. I don't need to read an article to decide which sport is better to me. Baseball by a longshot.
  7. I'm not arguing that Forte is in the same class as APete, but the Bears O-line was awful in the running game last year and Forte was pretty much the only threat on offense for the Bears (there was Hester, but Orton couldn't get him the ball in deep routes, and Olsen but he wasn't on the field more than 60% of the time). There were a lot of times where there were 8 in the box, and Forte still had to fun through it. I would say Forte is an above average starting RB, not slightly. The fact that a guy his size could handle as many touches as he had both in the running and passing game was impressive. I would say its comparing Peyton Manning to Donovan McNabb. McNabb is never going to be as good as Manning, but most of the time he's a very nice asset to have and better than your run of the mill QB that maybe 20 teams in the league employ.
  8. That 2 out RBI single in the first is long forgotten.
  9. Normally I say lean into that one, but with Milton it will somehow paralyze him to take one off the elbow.
  10. Yay, my favorite situation. At least Aaron Miles won't get a chance to bat in this situation.
  11. Has anyone posted this before? http://www.versus.com/playoffcaster I just did this for the first time, it simulated the Hawks winning the Cup over Washington. The Hawks played Anaheim in the Conf. Finals, and Carolina played Washington. Edit: This loves the Hawks....the second time I did it, the Hawks were "upset" in the Finals by the Penguins.
  12. That's Sori for ya. Just gotta hope he gets hot starting Oct 5 if were still playing. I guess I'm always amazed that he can be so hot for one month and look clueless the next. Boggles my mind as well. I've just learned to accept it. Took me over 2 years to do so but I've done it mostly.
  13. I'm still a bit worried that most of Theriot's hits have a bit more loft on them than the liners we're accustomed to seeing from him. He's still getting hits right now but it doesn't seem to be a good indicator of future success.

  15. They should be happy today that their GM didn't blow his wad on Manny last offseason. Then again, he did blow it on Tiex, and that hasn't turned out well thus far.
  16. Anyone who just realizes that they don't have VS at their house, probably doesn't have a GF. What would I ever need VS for besides hockey games? All the Blackhawks games are on Comcast, and the one that wasn't I watched at my GF's house and didn't need to discover if I had VS or not.
  17. I've just discovered that I don't have VS at my house so now I have to go to my GF's house to watch the game. I know, I know, why don't I blog about it.
  18. D'oh...not a good ballpark for Lilly to pitch in.
  19. So wait, when's Bradley gonna get good? I wonder if Lou saw Bradley taking too many called 3rds and told him to be a bit more aggressive and it's had a negative effect on his approach, because he seems to be swinging at everything these days, and striking out on some bad pitches.
