About an 8.3 on the Cobb Scale. Really? I could be remembering the details wrong but I thought I remember reading that Cap Anson is the biggest reason why there were no black players in the MLB until the 40s.

It's in the same realm. Would say Wares was worse because it was easy to see exposed bone on replays. There might have been exposed bone with PG but if couldn't see it on replays

I don't know why this bothers me so much, but Baez ends July with a .999 OPS Bryant finished with a .992 OPS Other interesting splits....I'm not sure how much this matters but Bryant Bases empty: 1.158 OPS Runners on: .957 OPS RISP: .688 OPS Baez Bases empty: .777 OPS Runners on: .858 RISP: 1.008 -

A 20 year old tearing up AA at a premium position and widely regarded as a top 10 prsopect under team control for the next 7 years or a 28 year old who is good but not great as an MLB OF, making 10.5 million this year and next before becoming a FA? Hmm tough choice. -

Maybe this is a good time to extend the olive branch to Bum so we can have another accomplished writer on the site. Though I don't know if we can pull him off the oil fields for long enough to write a quality article.
