Cubs have been between 2 games under and 4 games over .500 the entire year. Random thought but I wonder what the record is between lowest deviation between most and leastgames under/over .500 for a team over a season

This is just a question because of the randomness of baseball, not because you think KB isn't "clutch" or some [expletive], right? Just felt like it had been quite a while Remember when KB tied a playoff game on the road in SF with a 9th inning 2-run HR? So un-clutch. 100 games is quite a while Pretty sure he had a game tying hit against Milwaukee with 1 out in the 9th earlier this season (the game Addy hit a walk off 3 run HR)

Cubs won their next five after the demoralizing victory against the O's. Yeah but they weren't in the middle of a 6 game losing streak and the Cubs are actually good

Just looked it up, the Cubs is 6.73 before today's game. That's crazy I would have guessed higher but I guess they've gone 8 straight games without allowing a 1st inning run so it's gone down

2011 Cardinals Yeah I think Cardinals for making the playoffs at all. I think I remember hearing a little while ago that it hasn't been since 2008/2009 (phillies) that the WS winner won their division the next year. Yep that sounds right. 09 Yankees won wild card in 10 If my memory is correct I think you have to go back to the 01/02 Diamondbacks to find the next one. So 1 WS winner has won their division the next year over the last 15 years

Random thing that only interests me: The Cubs are in the middle of a stretch from June 20-August 1st where they play just 2 home night games. Those games were/are on a Saturday and a Sunday
