I really have no problem going into next year with basically what we started this year with, but Montgomery and Quintana replacing Lackey and Arrieta. If you can sign Otani, bonus. Look to bolster the ration at next years trade deadline. The question is whether you can count on Lester being 2016 Lester or 2017 Lester. A rotation of Hendricks, Quintana, 2017 Lester, Montgomery, 5th starter is going to be a decent staff but not great and very low on depth.

It didn't seem like anyone could get anyone out on either side. I count 3 half innings where no one got on base: top of the 1st, bottom of the 1st and top of the 5th. 26 runs on 39 hits and 50 total base runners combined.

It's time to give people like Maples for medium leverage situations to see if they can take a pen spot in the playoffs. I don't think Koji should make it and who knows about Wilson Davis, Edwards, Strop, Rondon, Montgomery, Duenseng are locks but if they decide to go with 12 pitchers it's between Grimm, Wilson, Uehara or a wild card like Maples or Lackey

Well Brewers are 4-1 against LA and Washington over the last week. The good news is the Nats throw Scherzer tomorrow. The bad news is the Nats throw Jaxon on Sunday.
