How come all the other teams can get garbage time runs off of our pen but the Cubs get shut down? -
No. Teams hitting poorly against a bad pitcher is something that has happened multiple times to every single team ever

When Lester comes back, sit him down for a couple of starts. He might just have a dead arm from pitching in the WBC. There is no reason for him to be this bad

So weird. Sometimes I get so much madder at certain losses than the board seems to get and then other times everyone flips out over a loss and I'm like "meh" Anyways, gotta go 35-0-1 the rest of the year to match last year's record

Strop is doing that thing where he's either lock down or he gives up runs. Last 7 appearances he has 3 perfect innings and had given up 8 ER in the other 4 outings

It sucks but I still think its mostly a fluke. In 2015 he was one of the most clutch players in baseball with a pretty good sample size. That said, its gotten to the point where I don't like when he comes up in key situations. Then all the logic in my head informs me that I'm an idiot and Kris is our best hitter but then he strikes out awkwardly like he did in that Toronto game. I dunno, maybe it is in his head at this point, but this is a guy that had a .923 OPS in the playoffs last year, had 4 hits in game 6 of the World Series, would have had the World Series winning HR in game 7 if the wind wasn't blowing in, hit a game tying 2 run HR in the 9th inning of NLDS Game 3. He's not a guy that cowers under the pressure of big games.

What's everyone's take on the Dodgers in general? Obviously they are playing historically well, but am not significantly more concerned about playing them verses someone like Washington for example. Maybe I should be? I don't think they make it out of the DS, whoever they plays. If Harper, Strasburg and Scherzer are all healthy I kinda think the Nats are a little tougher to be honest. Or at least in the same realm. The Nats and Dodgers don't have 4 900+ OPS monsters in their lineup. The bottom of the Nats order is a little softer than the Dodgers, and the Dodgers definitely have a more scary pen. I gotta think at some point Bellinger is going to hit a bit of a rough patch, and I refuse to believe that Chris Taylor is a .920 OPS player.
