Plus with this particular giveaway lineup out there you need to be aggressive and try to steal some runs imo. Zobrist is hitting like under .200 since May. Chances of him getting a run home even batting from the left side aren't great.
I thought this dude was supposed to steal strikes for us. 3-0 count where umps are more likely to call something borderline plus the pitch was clearly a strike
At the very least he's proven to be a respectable major leaguer as he can rake it against lefties and play above average defense at a premium position. If he can at least improve well enough to hit decent against righties he's a solid everyday major league starter
I swear this isn't a "the Cubs suck at situational hitting" rant but I swear everytime they put the Lexus Run Predictor thing up there the Cubs % is below league average
I wasn't like "oh Almora is leading off a lefty must be starting today, let's see who is secon- wait Schwarber?" And then it just kept getting stranger.
That looked a lot like Dexter's hit in the 9th inning of game 7. Looked like an easy single off the bat but the spin of the ball made it look more sharply hit then it was. Thankfully instead of Lindor, it was Darwin Barney going for it
