  1. I'm guessing a mysteriously timed injury. An injury that requires the 60 day DL coming out of nowhere would be quite suspicious, unless I am understanding the 40 man rules incorrectly for minor leaguers.
  2. Dont need a 5th starter in playoffs. I can see the concern about next year's Arrieta replacement but it's not a must have at this point
  3. Another tweet that made me laugh out loud Thank God we have scouts to tell us this information
  4. Is he tapping their phone lines? (Sorry David)
  5. He deserves his own thread. I just want everyone to see how stupid he is
  6. Here's another Sean Sears blockbuster scoop: Was your source Rosenthal with your imagination adding the Avila part?
  7. I would be fine with Wilson. Gives us a pen of Davis, Edwards, Strop, Wilson, Rondon, Monty, Grimm, Uehara. Grimm gets optioned until we need him, Monty can slide into the rotation if injury without leaving a LHP hole in pen. I wouldn't hate Verlander and it would certainly be "fun" to see an awkward scenario where the 2016 ERA leader doesn't have a spot in the postseason rotation but I'm fine with where the rotation is at right now and if Darvish isn't feasible in the offseason chances are Verlander is still an option for trade.
  8. Will miss Grienke. Of course this squad probably smacks him around and continue to make meddling soft throwers look like Cy Young front runners And if my guesswork is right we see Roark, some guy that made his MLB debut today (4 IP, 7 R) and Jaxon in the Nats series with the Cubs throwing Hendricks, McHorseteeth and Lester
  9. I guess 13-3 and gaining 8 games in the division since the ASB is pretty good
  10. Crazy when you have Heyward as a RF, by no means should I ever expect a fielder to get that single, but damn if I wasn't slightly disappointed that Heyward couldn't get there
  11. At this point it's not even funny, he might have originally have been raging but now he's milking it because he's the most relevant he's been since the mid-90s
  12. Zo is by far our best hitter at avoiding strikeouts sonof course after Maddon complains about bad approach and too many Ks he strikes out in his first 2 AB
  13. And Soler falls further down the depth chart They are going to have to trade him to some team like Oakland that is going to be bad enough to play him everyday no matter how bad he is (in between injuries)
  14. Wade has allowed at least 1 base runner in 7 of his last 8 appearances and at least 2 base runners in 5 of his last 8. Yet he's gotten the job done every time. I will take it with a big smile on my face.
  15. This offense is in 2016 postseason mode. Really damn good then randomly can't score runs for a few games and then back to awesome again (i hope)
  16. Yeah i remember reading that his cancer was back about a month ago. That sucks he seemed like a good guy and good writer. RIP
  17. Meh you guys seem to be too upset about this game. I'm in cruise control mode. Win 1 of the 2 games this weekend and we're fine.
  18. Schwarbs, any hit would have been fine. You didn't have to try to send one to the moon
