He has struck out 14 times so far in April. 5 more times than in his rookie season, and this month is not over! I understand your reluctance to admit that he is falling off, it's obvious that you don't see it. Time will tell. But get this: He has 1 more HR than little Rasmus who only plays against right handers, and has LESS walks not intentional. You see no problem there? what about a guy who hit .189 in april with only 1 home run? surely we could write that person off, right? that was derrek lee in 2009, by the way.

    im very afraid that what happens after that occurs is going to be even worse than this. how are they going to sell "he sucked in the bullpen, time to go back to the rotation" after this whole thing is (in the minds of many) predicated on zambrano's lack of success in the rotation? exactly. and if z somehow dominates in a relief role, is lou going to send him back to the rotation, or think to himself "by golly i'm a genius, i should have moved z to the bullpen a lot sooner" and keep z in the bullpen all season? so basically, i'm saying either scenario it appears z may be a reliever all year.

    In my two (brief) interctions with him, he was more than a capable, functioning adult. Not a big deal, just a sign of ignorance. I was pointing out an error, so he could learn and improve. He tried to defend it, I responded. Edit: Mineaswell move on, their are bigger issues Pot, meet Kettle. :-)) not that garwilly needs defending, but the first one is a typo missing 1 letter. much different than not knowing what literally means and defending your incorrect usage. the second was sarcasm. if you haven't seen "mineaswell" in a Cubbiebum post yet, you haven't been paying much attention. It doesn't matter. If you are going to run around being the grammar police, then make sure you own posts are correct, even typos. There's no need to run around correcting every one around here. Like the other guy said, everyone knew what he meant when he typed literally. What's the deal with "mineaswell"? I just figured it was one of those things like southerners saying "welp" instead of welt. Or "flicked off" instead of "flipped off". he only does it to cubbiebum. and that's ok.

    The Cubs lost 2/3 to a very good Atlanta team and 2/3 to a pretty good Reds team. If we lose 4/6 to the Brewers and Astros this week then we can start panicking.
