    At least there's someone who can out-Cub the Cubs. You're kidding, right? No, not really. Not going to turn this into a big thing (as I'm sure a lot of others will. I'm hunkering down for a lot of flame and hate to be thrown my way), but you said that WE had the longest postseason losing streak. The Cubs did. And now it was passed. So at least there was someone who craps the bed worse than we do in the playoffs. That's quite a feat. Not all of my "only the Cubs" statements have been warranted. Some were said merely out of frustration. But there's truth behind a lot of them. Like this one. And a lot of others. But, like I said, I've stated my case on this before, as has everyone else, so I'm not going to get into it. i'll trade our playoff losing streak for their playoff losing streak + 1991 world championship

    can't believe i'm saying this, but i can't believe dusty didn't have his players more aggressive against halladay today. i can't believe how many 1st pitch strikes they just watched go by.

    all i care about is that the reds do not win a single game in the post season. not 1. predicting the playoffs never turns out well, but here goes. phils over reds in 3 braves over giants in 4 rays over rangers in 5 yankees over twins in 3 braves over phillies in 6 rays over yankees in 7 bravers over rays in 6 and bobby cox retires a world champ!

    It was like a storybook ending. Would have been better had that final HR come in a meaningful game, but it was still a fitting exit for the greatest hitter who ever lived. by quitting on his team for the last 3 games? poor sammy only skipped 1 game

    Yeah, ok whatever. Come to Green Bay. Good comeback.. Do the Bears have "no chance" in Green Bay also? It depends on where both teams are at during that point of the season. I HIGHLY suspect the Packers will be in the driver's seat. Look at this game and tell me the Packers aren't the better team and Aaron Rodgers isn't twice the QB that Jay Cutler is. Fine, Packers lost so congrats to all the Bears fans. I liken it to a baseball team that gets 10 hits and loses 2-1 due to two solo homers. See you in January. Bears fans would murder nuns to have Aaron Rodgers. They just won't admit it. if by nuns you meant obnoxious moronic packer fans, then you're right.

    go bears! if they win i'll win a cool 30 bucks in my work's pick 'em pool. (i picked the packers to win but only put 4 points on them). so basically, you all can blame me when the bears lose because i never win these pools ever.

    in response to the thread title, the pirates have been even worse this season. their run differential is -284. the next worse team in that department, the orioles, is -173, an over 100 run difference. i could be off, and i'm not gonna look it up now, but -284 (and counting) has got to be at least close to the record for worst run differential.

    well upon watching it again, i misheard jeff baker's name the 1st time. i guess there was just the one, snyder.

    weird feeling seeing the bengals beat the ravens and still feeling pretty crappy about the game. carson palmer has turned into an awful quarterback. :(

    larue had pretty solid '04 and '05 seasons. so he wasn't even terrible compared to his peers for a short time
