I don't really think his stock has fallen; it's just that his future with the Braves is cloudy because of re-signing McCann long-term. I think he has plenty of trade value. -
I remember back around the keeper deadline I raised a few eyebrows by keeping Adrian Gonzalez over Conor Jackson. I think I made the right choice. :D

Holliman's not getting called up anytime soon. This is his first real success as a professional, and most importantly he's not on the 40 man roster. He may have meant getting promoted to Iowa, not all the way to the Cubs. That doesn't require him being on the 40-man roster. -

In one day I go from first to fourth in the league in scoring for the year. Still a comfortable lead in this week's matchup (although a one start deficit the remainder of the week).

The league's high scorer should get an automatic playoff spot regardless of won-loss record. :D BTW, I'm also first in terms of fewest points scored by opponents. Basically I'm the equivalent of being first in the league in both hitting and pitching, but with a .500 record. Very Cub-like.

Following Wednesday's games (after overnight deductions) I am now the #1 scoring team in the league for the entire season. And yet I am at .500 and currently out of playoff position. In other words, I'm the Cubs. :D

I do agree with the rule. It gives both teams a fair chance to win.

I'm not sure if this is related to what Goony mentioned, but the Yankees did fire their strength and conditioning coach today. -
I'm not sure if Prior could be moved to the 60-day DL since he's on Iowa's DL. I'm not sure if there is a minor league 60-day DL. The Cubs could recall Prior and immediately put him on the 60-day DL, but then he'd be accruing more service time. They could put Wood (or preferably Miller) on the 60-day.

I was willing to give Izzy the benefit of the doubt at the start of the season to show that he's able to produce when healthy, but no longer. He must be benched immediately.

Upton is a must-get if available. It was just a couple of years ago that he was the #1-rated prospect in baseball, and he's starting to live up to the billing.

Ugh, I now have SIX players officially on major league DLs (Liriano, Ryan, El Duque, Jennings, Marte, and Wickman). :evil: Fortunately, I have a couple of players (Marte and Garko) who are still minor league eligible, so I'm able to stash them on my minor league roster for now and keep a couple of my walking wounded on my reserve list.

High score of the week! \:D/ (I'm almost positive that's the first time I've achieved that since joining the league.) Back-to-back 300 point weeks (I've never done that before; I don't think I've even had multiple 300 point weeks in an entire season before).
