Voigelbach is getting called up today. Will make his MLB debut. He hit 240/.404/.422 with the M's AAA club.

Such sad news. I obviously didn't know Fred nearly as well as many of you but he always made the game threads amusing and he is one of the posters I always associated closely with this site. He seemed like a good man and he will definitely be missed.

In 45 innings since the end of April, Zach Britton has allowed 1 ER (that's a 0.20 ERA). Brad Miller has 26 home runs despite never hitting more than 15 in a season in the minors. Ryan Howard has 56 hits this season, 20 have been home runs. The MLB leaders in wins are Rick Porcello and JA Happ. Some ex-Cubs fun: Blake Parker is getting late-inning chances with the Yankees now. Darwin Barney somehow has a 1.9 bWAR and a 1.3 fWAR. Chris Rusin somehow has a 1.5 bWAR and a 1.3 fWAR

Again, not sure he's better than what we had, but he's had decent numbers for a few years now. Feels like last year's deadline when we got Tommy Hunter. Something something middle relief help. If this is our only trade today, fitting that it's for a reliever named Joe Smith. Most vanilla deal ever.

Well, that's your first mistake... Depends on your point of view. Arguing on twitter can be just what my day calls for from time to time. It's more agonizing than amusing, but there are times when it's some good fun. Usually I just sit back and watch some of my dumb friends get into Twitter fights.
