  1. Hahah, I got really excited, then I put my mouse over the link and noticed what it was. Me too, haha. I won't get fooled again (good song).
  2. I wouldn't do that deal. That's too much. Maybe something like Marshall, EPatt, and Petrick/Hart?
  3. I don't think it will be tonight. MacPhail, I'm sure, would have to run it by the owner since Markakis and Roberts are 1-2 on the owner's list of player favorites. So we're talking to them about both? :D Heh, in my dreams. If only in my dreams... To the best of my knowledge, only Roberts is part of any talk with the Cubs. Hendry has remain steadfast in saying he won't trade Hill or Pie. Thanks Bruce. Good to hear about Hill and Pie.
  4. I might have to register there to warn them of the oncoming dangers! Maybe i should too....... *remembers all the times the Orioles bested us in trades* .....on second thought.
  5. I won't give up Hill or Pie unless Bedard is involved. Though, how much better will Bedard be in his prime than Hill?
  6. I've been trying to get on their the last couple of days but you now have to be a member. Any of their insiders saying anything? Nothing really. Of course, the consensus there is that they want Hill + Pie for Roberts. If it's Gallagher, they want Gallagher + Pie + Patterson. I've learned since reading that board, that they expect a lot for their players. You should pop that huge bubble that is their trade return expectations.
  7. I wouldn't mind bringing him back and seeing if he can regain form.
  8. Super sub. He really doesn't have a set position, he could play everywhere. He won't start, but he probably could still end up with 300 at bats. Wrong. A guy with a .380 OBP should be playing everyday. Period. 300 at bats isn't nearly enough, unless of course he had 300 at bats and 600 plate appearances. I feel the same way, but I made my post based on what I think will happen, not what I think should happen. If it was up to me, we would be trying to get a starting shortstop, not another starting second baseman. But, Cedeno is the only true SS on the team. Theriot is a 2b. His arm doesn't really have the range to be a true SS. So, if we are going to play a guy out of position, give me Brian Roberts at SS and Mark DeRosa at 2b. IIRC, Roberts is a historically bad fielding SS.

  11. Hahahahahahahahahahahah Hahahahahahha Hahaha I laugh because this is a move I fully expect Hendry to make.
  12. 1. Babe Ruth 2. Ted Williams 3. Barry Bonds 4. Honus Wagner 5. Willie Mays 6. Hank Aaron 7. Josh Gibson 8. Cy Young 9. Lou Gehrig 10. Joe DiMaggio 11. Rickey Henderson 12. Roger "The Rocket" Clemens 13. Alex Rodriguez 14. Sandy Koufax 15. Jimmie Foxx 16. Pedro Martinez 17. Ty Cobb 18. Mel Ott 19. Rogers Hornsby 20. Albert Pujols 21. Stan Musial 22. Nolan Ryan 23. 13. You work for one hour? He said he's leaving work in 15 minutes, not leaving for work My bad
  14. And he was actually talking about playing young guys like Phillips and Edwin E. and the like  I did a double take. I had to make sure it was Dusty talking
  15. Pie won't hit first, but I agree Fukudome looks to be our 2 hitter. Pie would be the worst person to lead off. I don't know about worst, but yeah not a good idea right now. He may end up their in a couple years and excell, but it would be a bad idea to have him there this year.
  16. Hahaha, that might have been what happened. Wouldn't surprise me.
  17. Another second baseman for Jim:
  18. SALARY DUMP Then it's amazing someone else didn't get them first, or that we didn't have to give up more in competition for their services, considering all we had to give up to get them was a couple of ridiculously overrated prospects Hee Seop Choi and Bobby Hill. Or was there some unspoken rule known to the rest of the league that only the Cubs could get them. And Jose Hernandez
  19. How about: Fukudome Teahen Lee Ramirez Soriano Tejada DeRosa Soto ?
