I'm pretty sure you are correct. He was signed and then taken in the draft only a few weeks later. Edit: From Baseball Cube: -

This seems like a good trade for both teams. The Twins could use help in the outfield, whereas the Rays haave plenty of young hitters but lack good young pitchers with the exception of Kazmir, Shields, Price and a few others. Rincon will help the Rays pen and Bartlett would be a stopgap for them, and Harris would be the same in Minnesota.

I thought Richie fell off the face of the Earth. Where does he currently rank in the organization at catcher? And anyone else we may risk losing (and I know, anyone not on the 40 man but I want specifics :P ) -
According to Rotoworld, the Nats signed about 20 minor leaguers, many of whom are AAAA players.
