  1. The Super Ultimate and Official Fukudome Officially Coming to America Thread
  2. I'd love to see them give up Bruce and Bailey and have Dusty destroy Bedard's arm and career after one season.
  3. I'm as on the Soto bandwagon as anyone else, but those numbers are very unlikely to happen. Those are ROY numbers. While it's possible, I wouldn't pencil it in just yet. Yeah, next season I see something more like: .270/.340/.420 10-15 HRs
  4. You...do know that that's really low, right? Oh man, I missed that sentence. Fanatic, you might NOT want to mention that when you're trying to compliment Theriot. By comparison, Juan Pierre had a stellar .330 OBP in his one year in Chicago. The fact is noted and it won't be used again but just for the rest of you: Khalil Greene last year had a stellar .291 OBP last year. While not stellar, his .335 career away OBP is better. It's not much better than Riot's, but Greene hits for more pwer and is a better fielder.
  5. exactly. cuz he was only 4 1/2 Unless the Russians erased his memory while Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster helped keep the aliens from stopping them. Back during the heart of the Cold War era, of course.

  7. I like Theriot, but he's never gonna put up stellar numbers. His OPS is never gonna get much higher than .700. He could be a good utility player but nothing more.
  8. Yeah, that's about what it is. It's filled with mostly guys who couldn't hack it above AA-AAA and decided to play in independent ball.
  9. Yea, I was tricked at first, too. Soriano at leadoff and Soto 8th threw me off. Geovany Soto
  10. And yet we all wonder why this is such a bad division.
  11. Pfft. I have a final tomorrow in a class absolutely essential to my major I should be studying for - and I'm not. And I have a paper to write due wednesday - Not doing that either. I hate you Fukudome! I have a test Thursday, another Friday, and three finals next week. And I'm jsut starting to study and keep procrastinating by coming here to see if Kukudome signed yet. I'm getting angry. He's stalling more than a car in bad weather.
  12. Haha. Figures. Guess we'll all have to come back and do this again tomorrow. Tomarrow? Try the next 2 weeks at this rate.
  13. Greene AND DeRosa at SS? Sweet zombie Jesus, talk about a brain cramp. Sorry, DeRo, you must sit down. Hey leave me out of this
  14. DeRosa is a class act. I'd be ticked off if I were him.
  15. Neither, they'd mutually respect each other and chop off Mark Prior's other arm.
  16. I said the Super Bowl, because I want to see them win out and lose a heartbreaker in the biggest game of the year.
  17. I wanted to say Krivsky, but I went with Wade beacause he has a worse track record. If Littlefield didn't get thrown out on the street, he easily would have had my vote.
  18. On what team he's playing for. He's already decided he's coming to the US. And I have a bad feeling as well. Though Hendry said he won't be outbid for him, and he said the same thing about Soriano.
  19. It wasn't? I guess because it is a one year deal...but doesn't seem worth it for a catcher who can't throw anyone out and whose OBP and SLG leave much to be desired. I think the fact that it's one year makes it ok. But yeah, $4.25 mil for an aging past his prime catcher is a bit over the top.
  20. San Diego must be pretty confident that he wants to play for them next year. Otherwise, Towers has a very strange negotiation strategy by making the lowest offer and then pressure the guy to make a decision as soon as possible. Yeah, not very smart on his part.
  21. I ate fiberglass insulation. It wasn't cotton candy like that guy said. My tummy itches.
