  1. His skills are starting to decline, and I think the Yanks will ask for too much.
  2. Dude, we're like a bunch of strung out crackheads and Bruce is our supplier. I feel bad for the guy...That being said... BRUCE WHAT'S THE LATEST UPDATE*#$**(@$*(@SLD:JF:ALFJ Must.....have......update.....fix..... =P~
  3. Anyone have PECOTA projections to help end this discussion? Riot might have put up better MLB numbers, but Cedeno is younger and has a much much higher ceiling.
  4. :wall: ](*,) #-o Yup, you were probably too young to remember. I had the same reaction after he decided to go back to school. I knew we missed out on something good.
  5. I just got back from class and don't feel like reading the past few pages. What is our definite offer and what is the Padres'?
  6. Ok, now it's "official". And this will drag on for weeks.
  7. When the Boogieman goes to bed, he checks his closet for Ryan Theriot.
  8. "Dice-K" isn't a nickname. That's how you pronounce Daisuke. Kosuke is pronounced "KOHS-kay". Or, if you prefer, "KOH-skay". It can be considered a nickname. That's all ESPN uses. And speaking of ESPN, Stephan A. Smith I don't need to know anymore, and my ears bleed.
  9. ! Hey, Paul Sullivan just did a good job of summing up everything we've known for two days! Sullivan's Article Sullivan is an idiot but: *Devil's advocate* He was probably told by his editor to write something on Fukudome and had nothing new, so he wrote on exactly what we've known. *Devil's advocate*
  10. The Super Ultimate and Official Fukudome Officially Coming to America Thread
  11. I'd love to see them give up Bruce and Bailey and have Dusty destroy Bedard's arm and career after one season.
  12. I'm as on the Soto bandwagon as anyone else, but those numbers are very unlikely to happen. Those are ROY numbers. While it's possible, I wouldn't pencil it in just yet. Yeah, next season I see something more like: .270/.340/.420 10-15 HRs
  13. You...do know that that's really low, right? Oh man, I missed that sentence. Fanatic, you might NOT want to mention that when you're trying to compliment Theriot. By comparison, Juan Pierre had a stellar .330 OBP in his one year in Chicago. The fact is noted and it won't be used again but just for the rest of you: Khalil Greene last year had a stellar .291 OBP last year. While not stellar, his .335 career away OBP is better. It's not much better than Riot's, but Greene hits for more pwer and is a better fielder.
  14. exactly. cuz he was only 4 1/2 Unless the Russians erased his memory while Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster helped keep the aliens from stopping them. Back during the heart of the Cold War era, of course.

  16. I like Theriot, but he's never gonna put up stellar numbers. His OPS is never gonna get much higher than .700. He could be a good utility player but nothing more.
  17. Yeah, that's about what it is. It's filled with mostly guys who couldn't hack it above AA-AAA and decided to play in independent ball.
  18. Yea, I was tricked at first, too. Soriano at leadoff and Soto 8th threw me off. Geovany Soto
