Yeah, I'd agree, but we haven't heard that MacPhail has convinced Angelos to sign off on the deal. That was the big holdup.

I would hope he would. If we acquire no better upgrade at SS, we should have someone (Trammell) work with DeRosa at shortstop during ST and see how well he can handle it.

Yeah, Roberts may not be much better than DeRosa, but now DeRosa can be allowed to play multiple positions and still get 300+ at bats. Also, this move probably pushes Soriano out of the leadoff spot, giving us a better lineup. We are giving up a bit, but we aren't exactly selling the farm for him, and Pie and Hill aren't being included.

That's a trade I wouldn't mind pulling the trigger on. Murton would be a shame to give up, but Patterson isn't gonna get any lage amount of playing time on the Cubs anytime soon. Gallagher may turn out to be decent, but he isn't a can't miss prospect, and most scouts have him projected as a 3-4 starter anyway.

Agree. It's not fair that a 19 year old who votes, drives, and goes to college is lumped in the same group as people in 4th grade who still play with Pokemon cards. Yeah, I'm a 20 year old college student who will be 21 in 7 months, yet I'm thrown together with people who possibly couldn't spell the name of the state I currently attend school in.

Man, I'd love to get him without giving up Hill. That would be a nasty rotation 1-4. Left handed heavy, but yes, it would be dominating.

Two Big Ten QBs.... anyone know what Craig Krenzel is up to these days? According to one of my friends, if a Wisconsin QB starts an NFL game, the universe will collapse into itself. Hasn't happened yet, though.

Well, the Vikes are playing like garbage, but are somehow still in it. Good job on the Bears part of containing Peterson so far. I'm surprised I haven't been hunted down and/or chastised for my Viking love on a dominantly Bears fan board.
