  1. If Hendry's looking for a position player in return and actually does not want an infielder, I'd take a look at Chad Huffman. However, he is similar to Murton, making the trade rather pointless.
  2. Compare to the 2007 Boise rotation: Huseby (19) - 3.39 ERA, 8.28 H/9, 0.95 HR/9, 4.21 BB/9, 7.19 K/9 Sasser (21) - 4.59 ERA, 8.91 H/9, 0.56 HR/9, 3.34 BB/9, 7.10 K/9 Ashwood (21) - 3.28 ERA, 9.05 H/9, 0.31 HR/9, 3.28 BB/9, 7.65 K/9 Cabrera (18) - 5.40 ERA, 9.62 H/9, 0.94 HR/9, 4.23 BB/9, 7.75 K/9 Hempy (23) - 4.70 ERA, 7.92 H/9, 1.17 HR/9, 3.23 BB/9, 9.68 K/9 Ouch.
  3. My guy says it is. No, my guy does. You called him a basterd and said you wouldn't trust him. You're mistaken. That was my other guy. Oh, ok. My bad.

  5. Everytime I think we have a bad GM, I jsut think about how bad the San Fran fans must feel. Trading a top young pitcher straight up for a broken down third baseman is not intelligent decision making.
  6. Yeah, I wore my Brodeur shirt today and flaunted it in front of my Flyer friends. And I like the Ducks, but they do lay rather dirty. Parros, Pronger, Moen, Bertuzzi, etc beat the crap out of people. Though, Parros does have an awesome/ intimidating mustache: http://assets.espn.go.com/photo/2007/0412/nhl_g_parros_412.jpg
  7. If he proves last year wasn't a fluke, that's a good deal.
  8. He hits lefties fairly well. A career .803 OPS vs lefties is better than Pie will give this season (or possibly ever). He does hit lefties better, but he's still a .280 career hitter overall, can play all 3 OF positions, and he has a .457 career AVG at Miller Park. I'd take him as a throw-in in a trade for Roberts and/or Bedard, but I'm not sure I'd trade for him outright - he'd probably cost too much. He definitely has value though. Yeah, same here. If we had to take him back in a Roberts trade, I'd have no problem with it. However, I would not make a trade with the intent of him being the main peice we get in return.
  9. Reggie Willits? Seriously? You have got to be kidding. Eric Patterson>>>>>>Reggie Willits.
  10. Yeah, at least DeRosa was consistent in his career year: 2006 Home - .299/.358/.441/.799 2006 Road - .293/.355/.470/.825 Byrd, on the other hand, is only coming off a career year at home, but not on the road: 2007 Home - .356/.406/.510/.916 2007 Road - .259/.304/.410/.714 Although for Byrd, maybe a .714 OPS on the road is a career year, as well. I'm pretty sure Fuld could have those numbers. ZIPS has Fuld at .261/.329/.377/.706 Now give him a year with Rudy... I'd still take that over Byrd.

  13. Trading away Marquis might be the best part of any Roberts deal if it happened. marquis was pretty lucky last year. if we could somehow pawn him off on someone who actually thinks he has value, please for the love of God get rid of him. His ERA was under 5 last season. The Orioles don't have many guys like that. yeah unfortunately for them, marquis' era won't be below 5 this year. Shhh, don't tell them that.

  15. Good fielder, good power, good stats away from Petco.
  16. I say we argue about it for another 20 pages. Why stop at 20?
  17. AP says $15.5 mil. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-cardinals-molina&prov=ap&type=lgns What? More than Izturis? That's maddening! Obviously, Yadier has more RGI than King Caesar.
