  1. Well, it's over, and in a close vote, you guys decided that I should keep my username. I will do so, unless I change my mind a few years down the road. That you for your votes.
  2. Yeah, this may hurt in the long run, but if we win it all, I'll live with it.
  3. They are talking about middle infield on Sports Central. Kaplan is saying that the Cubs have already told Theriot that he is their guy at SS on opening day. I don't think DeRosa is going to play SS. I could live with it, given the rest of the lineup. But Theriot is never gonna be more than an average-below average starting shortstop.
  4. You guys could have had a nice pen of former Cubs. Hawkins, Mahay, Farnsworth.
  5. I would think that DeRosa could play shortstop if Theriot could. IIRC, Theriot was a second baseman originally.
  6. I would think so. We'll see how valid the insiders are. And yes, I know they broke the Tejada trade before it happened.
  7. (a) are you referring to carlos zambrano? (b) if so, i hope you're joking Surely he jests.
  8. http://wgnradio.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=120&Itemid=236 Back to this again. Wouldn't mind either, but would prefer Blanton. Blanton would look nice in the rotation. I guess we'd be giving up Pie for Blanton... Who the heck plays CF then? Looks like Figgins. Failing him, I would make it a platoon, getting a FA like Brady Clark to platoon with Fuld. I believe i just vomited Yeah, Brady Clark doesn't seem like a very appealing idea.
  9. As a blues fan I am very very happy about this trade, McDonald was not scoring that much so far this year, but neither was Boyes last year and he had turned it around. Hopefully McDonald will do the same. He scored a goal and had an assist in his first game for the blues today so he is off to a good start. I've liked McDonald ever since he was a rookie. He's a speedster who can score a lot if playing on a good line. If they team him up with former teammate and another of my favorite players, Paul Kariya, then he'll be an asset for the Blues. If Selanne comes back but the Ducks don't have any cap space, I think he would be a good fit playing for the Blues with McDonald and Kariya as he has chemistry with both of them. I may have to start rooting for the Blues if that becomes the case, but I doubt it. I heard Selanne would only play for the Ducks if he came back.

  11. Yeah, I'd agree, but we haven't heard that MacPhail has convinced Angelos to sign off on the deal. That was the big holdup. No, I understand, but it's just been all rumors and rumblings of how close the deal has been for the past week or so, and I'm just at the point where I'll believe it goes down when the major news outlets get ahold of it. Yeah, I know where you're coming from. Hopefully this is done soon. I'm tired of the frequent updates with no actual news.
  12. I guess I'll have to live with my "Kosuke" jersey t-shirt now
  13. Yeah, and he said rehabbing is going well, and he'll be 100%.
  14. I heard a question about Andre Dawson and Sammy Sosa
