  1. Let's hope he goes that route.
  2. I never wanted to part with both him and Marshall in a trade. This makes me not want that even more.
  3. Ugh. Lou plans to hit Theriot 2nd. Is Dusty back? I expect he'll be the starting shortstop barring an amazing spring by Cedeno/ another trade.
  4. Hype surrounding Octavio Dotel. Who knew? I think he's living off of reputation. He didn't have a particularly dominating year in 2007 (outside of his ability to strikeout hitters). His hits allowed and WHIP weren't impressive at all. He would benefit more by returning to the NL with a good defensive team. Teams probably look at his numbers a few years ago, and hope he can reach those again if fully healthy.
  5. I feel the same. He's nice insurance for an injury, and if he can hit well at AAA this season, he could be a valuable call-up/ trade piece.
  6. Heck no! You crazy? Now we can trade Hill for another free swinger and move Dempster up to the 3. After reading your post all I could think of is Hendry dressed like Austin Powers, walking down a street looking for free swingers. And now I'm thinking that. Thanks.
  7. Hype surrounding Octavio Dotel. Who knew?
  8. He had one great year didn't he? What happened to him?
  9. So he's a push over? :? Anyway, that was a pretty good read. I still won't say he's great at his job, but I like him a tad more after reading that, especially after his Wood and Prior comments.
  10. How about we just have this thread stickied so it can't ever die.
  11. Bump. Looks like Infante will start the year on the DL for the Braves:
  12. I really think 2008 is the season that Jamie Moyer breaks out.
  13. 2 years? Psh, try 22 years. We'll still be here miserable, Jim Hendry will still be the GM, and he'll still be trying to trade for Roberts despite him being retired for 10 years. And this thread will still be going.
  14. Well, now it's gotta be official. He can't play for the O's in a Cub uniform.
