  1. I like Messmer's jacket, where can I get one of those?
  2. Sorry bro, may have been asleep when you made those offers. I dont really have a need at the possitions you offered. Im a pretty hard person to make a trade with as I have no real "needs" and players that would improve me would cost more than what they are worth if that makes any sense.
  3. In what way is it expensive? From what I've gathered, it's like $5.00 a month more on the cable bill to receive HD signals. Is that not accurate? HD tv's, on the other hand, do seem pretty expensive still. But, I'm hoping to buy one soon since they aren't nearly as expensive as they were when they first came out. Its the TVs/recievers that are the real expensive parts. An extra 10 bucks a month for HD programing is really not that big of a deal. Its not something Im really all that interested in though. I dont think its worth all of the cost involved
  4. Actually his career pitching ERA was 0.00 (5 innings in 4 appearances). http://www.baseball-reference.com/d/dascedo01.shtml hah! I thought so, but I wasnt sure so I couldnt post that and I was to lazy to look it up. Thanks NC
  5. Won't everyone be HD at one point or another? My cable company has hundreds of HD channels already, just not MLB EI. No sarcasm. Just asking since I haven't bought an HD tv yet. Maybe but it will be a really really long time. HD is to expensive atm. Ive seen HD Im not impressed for what it cost to set up. I think most people feel that way. Who cares how many HD channels you have when 80% of your consumers cant use them anyway. You say "premium" I say poop. I just want to be able to watch baseball the same way Ive been watching it for years.
  6. Away from highschool players in general, look at our last few highschool drafted players yuck!
  7. LOL yeah I remember Doug, he had a 0.00 era for a while and showed up at pitchers meetings. I think that was back when Treblehorn was the manager though it could have been further back.
  8. Wow Bako is still in the game? Good for him.
  9. Had DirecTV not gotten involved, we'd still be stuck with MLBEI as it was in the 1990s. Now, DirecTV subscribers can enjoy numerous improvements that have put the service at the cutting edge of in-home sports viewing. Once "MLBEI 2.0" was assured, I didn't give a damn one way or another whether cable got the rights back. Now that they have, it's more money for MLB, which is always a good thing. DirecTV boasts excellent service, and, unlike cable, has shown a penchant for innovation that has pushed the sports packages far beyond the dreams of cable's most staunch supporters. There are some bum installers out there, but overall, people are pretty damn pleased. You really ought to sign up ... the people praising the new offerings here can't all be DirecTV shills. Blah blah blah DirecTV sucks. No one had a problem with EI the way it was, was just fine. Your favorite company screwed things up for tons of people. They are scum buckets to the worst degree. Though I really blame mlb largely for thier complete stupidity and lack of interest in keeping thier fans happy. DirecTV can go to hell, they'll never get a penny of my money and Im sure there are plenty of other people who feel the same.
  10. Theriot didnt exactly have a great game today either but no one is railing on him. DeRosa is going to put up similar if not better numbers than last year. He's been great everyone has good games and bad games. Im pretty happy with what Mark has been able to do so far.
  11. I dont think it matters at this point, we are gonna get reamed
  12. yeah going with Miller instead of Guzman was a greeeeat idea *sigh* what a loser
  13. Well they have six months to get an HD feed...I'd be shocked if they don't have one by October. News flash most people in this country dont have or care about HD. The percentage of people who are capable of watching anything in HD is still very small and will continue to be so until HD tvs and equipment are as affoardable as a regular television and HD programing does cost extra. Oh, I don't have HD either, home or school. But it's obviously a big deal to those who have the capability. Im sure it is, but its going to be a while before stations begin to really make it a priority.

  15. lol yeah tommorow they will be booing him again.
  16. Am I the only one that thinks that Guzman can be an effective reliever? I've been calling for him to go to the pen for a couple years now. I dont mind him in the pen but his talent is wasted in mop up duty.
  17. Whoever is pitching for Brevard is really dealing tonight, either he's good or we just dont have any good hitters in Daytona lol
  18. the shark K'd the first batter then got a double play to end the inning. Sounds like he's getting squezed by the crappy minor league umps as well.
  19. I had heard today on the radio that the Brewers statium has a roof but no internal heating so the roof just acts as a giant umbrella. Is it going to be hella cold in there tonight?
  20. What is your problem? what good does it do you to attack other companies just because you are a DirecTV fanboy. You really need to get over your zealous unhealthy enthusiasm for what basicly is a bottom feeding money grabing craphole of a company.
  21. I wonder what this means for DishNetwork customers. I called this morning but I was given the "we are still in negotiations with mlb" line. I thought that DishNetworks programing came from In Demand just like most cable companies so hopefully something gets done soon. If anyone hears anything specific please post it.
  22. Ok so the bases are loaded and our hopes hinge on Izturis and Lilly? Ugg
  23. Wins mean next to nothing when trying to judge the performance of an individual pitcher. If a guy goes out and pitches 8 shutout innings and gives up 1 run in the 9th and loses 1-0 he hasnt pitched well? Dont think so.
