    Well stated. MLB is to blame for this, and while I doubt it comes back to bite them in the butt, I'll hold out hope. Meanwhile, they'll still be getting my money. And actually probably more of it than when I ordered MLB EI through my cable carrier. It sucks. I'll be seeing only the WGN games this year. The rest I'll just be listening to on XM I guess. I guess I should be thankful that I have that though Im sure they will find some way to strip us of that as well over the coming years. Im hoping I can get into a new home that has cable so I can get highspeed internet and watch the games that way next year. I actually checked in to DirectTV but as soona s they said I had to sign a 2 year contract I hung up on them. Cant believe I was even considering it.

    Wilken = draft day god Can't wait to see what he can do with the 3rd and, what is it now, 48th(?) picks. Boy do I want Wieters. Just out of need. Samardzija and Veal (with Pawelek and Gallagher in tow) are a nice group of arms. Adding a catcher like Wieters would sure be nice. Another arm wouldn't hurt, but... Isnt there some question as to Wieters can catch at the major league level? Thats the only thing remotely negative I have heard about him. There are a few questions, but it sounds like he'll at least be good behind the plate. Well at least he's a polished college hitter and not a highschool kid. Our highscool position picks never seen to pan out.

    I dont think there is any way Z signs for those numbers. He could get a 5 year deal for more money somewhere else. I think the Cubs will continue to try to sign him to a deal like that but I dont think its going to happen and Z will ultimately become a free agent and probably sign somewhere else. They really need to pony up the money and give him what he deserves.

    haha! Ditto my man. Angel Hernandez is the worst. I'll never forget the horrible call he blew that cost Zambrano the no hitter against the D-Backs a few years ago.

    Doesnt he have to pass through revocable waivers for them to option him to Iowa, I dont see how he would get through waivers with the need for pitching by so many teams. I tend to think he'll be in extended spring training but I would think they would have to come up with an injury excuse for that. It should be interesting to see how exactly all this plays out.

    I just have this feeling that this things gonna be rigged. I mean they have done it once already what's to stop them from doing it again. I just think they have no desire to report on the Cubs and they'll say whatever they want to have the Astro's win since thats what they want. I did try to help though Vance.

    If they split the Cubs from WGN it would hurt the fan base real bad. Especially with mlb deciding to give DirectTV the monopoly on the EI package. It would basicly make it immpossible for me to follow the team other than listening on XM. Im sure there would be alot of other people in the same boat.

    excuse me? How am I a cheater? the players I have on my roster are all keeper eligible. Also I posted them some time ago and Tim has had time to look at them. No one has voiced a problem with them at any point. Most of them are keepers due to service time. The rest are points paid. I have already been through my roster and cut players whom I did not have the points to pay for. My post was simply about the number of reserves that we are going to be allowed for the season. I have to make a desicion about 1 player since I am over the currently alloted reserve by 1. In the draft I'll be looking for 2 players a CF and a big bat. I made alot of my picks in last years draft based on what players would be keepers for this year. I have alot of service time keepers. Dont whine because you dont.

    Its darn hard to prepare for a draft not knowing what players are going to be availible. Im only looking for 2 players but still...

    hmm I see what must have happened is that all of my players went on my active list. Since when are we only allowed 4 reserve players though? We had alot more than that last year. Someone clarify this for me please.

    What happened to my reserver roster? We dont get room for minor league or reserve players? It says my roster is illegal, basicly because it took all my minor league and reserve guys and threw them onto a 23 man roster.
