    Sounds like Prior just needs repetition. Eventually he'll put it all together I think. Its going to be a long season listening to all these opposing teams broadcasters on XM, Im really going to mis my EI package. Oh well...

    There was once this guy named Gary Scott he had a great spring training a few years ago as well, what ever happened to him? I think he's selling cars somewhere in FL. A great spring training means very little. If he has a good year as a super sub maybe they think about moving him to a full time job. Unless DeRosa gets hurt Id rather let him have the job at second. At least he's proven to be good over a full season. Its not that I have anything against Theriot, I do like him, I just want to see it over a larger span of time. Im glad we have him.

    can someone do pbp? I cant get the game cause XM is still playing the mets and nationals game. THey have all these open channels and they gotta schedule multiple games for the same channel, makes no sense. So whats going on?

    No one is hating on DirecTV. I have my business phone, home phone, email address, internet service and tv's through my cable company. I get a nice sized discount by having the 3 way package. Why should I have to give up any or all of that? Personally, I don't want an ugly dish sticking off the side of my house, either. There are many people living in apartment complexes that are not allowed to hang satellite dishes. What are these people supposed to do to get MLB EI? I've been getting MLB EI for several years now. All of a sudden, I can't have it anymore unless I switch to DirecTV or my cable company picks it up? It's very nazi-ish. Exactly. Not to mention those of us that cant get MLBTV due to not being able to get highspeed internet. Im hopeful the next comisioner will not renew this deal. I dont see how it helps mlb in any way really.

    Huh? Why the heck should anyone be forced to switch television providers in order to watch baseball? Its ludicrous. It cost a great deal of money to switch not to mention massive hassle and inconvience when Im perfectly happy with my current service. Why the heck should I have to go through all that because MLB are greedy SOBs. Its taken all the paitence I can muster not to curse repeadidly in this thread. Especially at certain DirectTV fanboys who are ridiculously ignorant of people who dont want DirectTVs crappy service. I'll watch what games are on WGN and listen to the rest on XM. Screw MLB and screw DirectTV, I hope the FCC or the goverment or someone comes down on them for thier stupid monopoly. They will probably lose more money in the long run because of this. They sure as heck wont get mine.

    What a moron, this guy just doesnt get it. Bud its not about being able to get DirectTV, its about not having to. We shouldnt be forced to purchase a service that we dont want in order to get MLBEI.

    JUST AS PROMISED IF THIS DEAL IS STOPPED IT'LL BE A FRIGGIN' CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY Quite the opposite it will be truth, justice, and the american way. I will dance in the streets and thank God and all that is holy. I pray every day when I get up in the morning that someone stops the evil empire that is DirectTV and that normal hard working americans can enjoy the baseball that they love without switching to a piece of crap company that wants a monopoly on baseball. Consumers of directTV might get more content and features but the rest of baseball fans that have always been willing to pay see thier teams games on tv will be getting royaly reamed. No one should be forced to change television providers (a long arduous pain in the arse costing extra money and having to sign a contract for a product that I dont want) in order to watch the baseball games they want to see.

    That is so freaking stupid! I dont give a damn about a freeakin 24 hour baseball station and neither could most baseball fans. Its not going to cover thier team 90% of the time anyway. Most of the news that fans want to hear can be gathered easily off websites or local tv or espn or 100s of other sources. Saying that they wont give EI to cable and dish because of them not wanting to carry a station that most people dont give a hoot about anyway is just pure bull. They are just looking for a reason to make some extra money and they dont apparently care about thier fans. Its wrecklessly stupid to treat your fan base this way. I dont see how it helps them for less people to be able to purchase thier product. I sure as heck wont switch tv companies to get it. I hope the FCC or Congress or someone will stand up and do something about this. Goverment often sticks thier noses in places where it doesnt belong but this is one case that they would be warmly welcomed.

    I'll believe this when Jason Marquis is sucking it up and he moves him to the bulpen for someone that can do a better job. My feeling is that it will never happen, no matter how bad Marquis is he'll have the job because of his contract which is horible.

    I think there will be a huge leagal backlash over this if DirectTv gets exclusive rights, not to mention the millions of fans that will be absolutely pissed. I hope Congress gets involved, and I hope some private citizens with alot of money sue the hell out of MLB. MLB is not the NFL its a completely different thing for them to move the package to a network that a large amount of people cant or dont want to move to. MLBTV via the internet is also not a choice for a large number of people who still cant get highspeed internet (Im included in this group). MLB is doing a huge diservice to thier fans if they screw them over with this deal.

    If they cant get him signed they sure as heck better get something for him early in the year. The Angels seem to be a real match, I dont see them giving up the 3 players Tim mentioned but maybe 2 out of 3 of those and a ptbnl might do it. I would sure love to see Kendrick and Weaver in Cub uniforms.

    Ive set my keeper roster and dumped those who I wasnt keeping. The only non-exempt players (players Im paying points for are: Carl Crawford Jason Scimdt BJ Ryan Eric Gagne Michael Young For a total of 1786.8 points which is under my 1800 point limit. Tim if you could please check my roster to make sure its correct. I may have missed a player that I thought was exempt that really wasnt. Also, when is the draft going to be?
