    moved back to school for my last year this past week and haven't really been paying much attention to baseball but I've sen that we've instantly dropped out of the race unbelievable but so perfectly cubs-like. we had our little cinderella story going for a couple weeks there but so much under production and so much bad play on the road secured our fate.

    i'm wondering at what point can we give up on this team, they keep dragging me in but quickly dash my hopes they are clever like that

    You sure about that one? Combination of high expectations and dashed hopes? He might be right. I mean sure, its pretty brutal watching the Royals (only a fool really thought they'd contend this year), Nats, Pirates, Padres etc. but none of those teams were gonna contend anyway. The Cubs are the perfect storm of disappointing play

    the boxscore is kinda funny because you got the 1-2 guys taking 4 walks and getting 2 hits combined, and then the next 3 hitters are 0-9, pretty unlucky

    Though it sucks that the Cardinals are gonna win again, at least they are overextending Carpenter and stretching his pitchcount yessss ruin your hero

    I'm furious with the approach. I honestly would tell my batters not to swing until you have 2 strikes on you. The chance he throws 4 balls before he throws 3 strikes is enormous, he's a veritable Marmol out there with a fraction of Carlos' stuff.

    Miles-Fontenot-Hill makes its 3 auto-outs in the lineup discounting the pitcher Lou is making it harder for us to score against a bad pitcher. Bad Lou, bad.

    still angry that Miles is going to rejoin the team this year I'm really really hoping that Lou doesn't give him any at bats unless its the 15th inning and we need a pinch hitter

    This Lehr guy has a lot of problems with control and walked 6 in his last outing. I would recommend patience, patience and more patience. We'll be able to get guys on often, and then you just wait for your pitch. Which means the Cubs will come out flailing for the fences.
