all i can do is yell "nooooo" at the TV because everyone know whats going to happen i'm more furious at the offensive playcalling because we all knew this would happen eventually to the defense
I gotta say Ron Turner has outdone himself, this is some of the worst playcalling I've seen in his entire tenure. We got 1 yard dives on 2nd and 15, boneheaded playcalls and yet we're still doing ok despite him
Rose Bowl game was awesome, good to see the Big Ten showing up again during bowl season. Too bad that Northwestern had to come up short, they played their hearts out and deserve to break that 61 year old streak. (almost as embarrassing as the Cubs one) The rest of the BCS games may be really ho-hum though. Expected to see Cincy get slapped up but was surprised it got so out of hand. Hope that Iowa can keep the Big Ten lookin' good but I'm not betting my house on it. I don't think the National Championship will be a superb game but the last time I thought that it was Fla-OSU and it ended up being a spanking the other way and the time before that it was Texas-USC and that was one of the best games I've ever seen.
this was a pretty cool game, thanks for giving me a hernia for blowing the 16 point lead ( i knew you were going to do that) and missing the field goal in OT (forgivable Gould, you are always on target) nice double whammy to beat favre in probably his last game in Chicago and just the vikings in general can we still fire ron turner?
I'd much rather see Angelo gone than Lovie, not that I wouldn't mind a complete clean house Though I don't know what a GM or coach would do with this mess, this couldn't be fixed within 3 years OH and, as usual, fire turner, now and forever
Between the demise of my beloved Bears, the disastrous Illini season, the underachievement and poor play of the Bulls and the Cubs continuing to implode this is one of the worst years to be a Chicago sports fan since about 2004. ( I don't watch hockey, though I should) This was a bad trade.
I know he was exaggerating when he said that "you think Ron Turner is satan" but I actually do I think him and his brother are actively out to destroy the game of football, and should be shoed out as fast as possible
moved back to school for my last year this past week and haven't really been paying much attention to baseball but I've sen that we've instantly dropped out of the race unbelievable but so perfectly cubs-like. we had our little cinderella story going for a couple weeks there but so much under production and so much bad play on the road secured our fate.
You sure about that one? Combination of high expectations and dashed hopes? He might be right. I mean sure, its pretty brutal watching the Royals (only a fool really thought they'd contend this year), Nats, Pirates, Padres etc. but none of those teams were gonna contend anyway. The Cubs are the perfect storm of disappointing play
the boxscore is kinda funny because you got the 1-2 guys taking 4 walks and getting 2 hits combined, and then the next 3 hitters are 0-9, pretty unlucky
