Oh man, its almost even MORE sad that Edwin Jackson gets released to no fanfare. A reasonable, if perhaps slightly risky, signing for a 5th starter that could eat innings and maybe had some upside, and he completely and totally blew up in your face. Its too bad. Always had impressive stuff. Now he's gone with barely a whimper. It would be nice if the Cubs could win a baseball game, but I'm not an optimistic person by nature
