  1. What the heck is going on? It's been what, 45 innings and they've scored like 4 runs? Hit the ball
  2. This is actually all my fault, as soon as I rejoin the forum the cubs go 1-3. How the hell do you get 12 hits and 15 base runners and still only get two runs?
  3. Jake Arrieta is kind of a jacked hunk isn't he
  4. there is no such thing as too much flash taco La Cocina is the best cheap mexican in the city though
  5. its kinda too bad Lester has been up and down this year so far
  6. Ok, I was freakin when I saw people on twitter talking about a possible Kris Bryant trade. I'm glad to hear there's literally nothing of substance to it
  7. someone get a ball in the air ok it cant be that hard
  8. In play, out(s) is far less enjoyable
  9. Waiting for the "In Play Run(s)" signal here
  10. Bases loaded, no outs. Do not CUbes this
  11. Can someone, anyone, score a run please? thank you
  12. I have positive feelings about the 2015 Cubs. They are good, I think. It would be nicer if the Cardinals weren't winning every game that's ever been scheduled. In fact the 2015 Cardinals have gone back in time and retroactively won some games from the last few years. But its nice to see something that doesn't make me roar with rage on the inside. I like this team, I claim.
  13. Kris Bryant rules. It is good to root for him. His swing is incredibly pretty and he takes walks. I like these things in a player.
  14. Its cool to care about the Cubs major league team again

    Castro

Hey ya'll I'm back after....a few years of not posting. Is Starlin Castro still playing bad defense, hitting for no power and not taking any walks, and still, somehow, the object of immense scrutiny and praise despite being a below average player? OH yeah, ok, cool glad to see some things don't change
  16. I hope the McCaskey's don't learn the wrong lesson from this. They seem to default to conservativism, not in their nature to make bold risky decisions. Two of those decisions, the Cutler trade and the Smith firing, have not paid dividends for the team. Both were absolutely the correct move to make, and the team should be applauded for it. Don't feel the need to go back to "safe" hires! Continue to be dynamic, just be smarter about it!
  17. I guess I deserve this. I supported the decision to fire Lovie Smith after a 10-6 season and was insistent on hiring an offensive mind. I'll still defend the decision to fire Lovie, but clearly Trestman wasn't the hire. I still mostly like Emery's talent acquisition skills. He's basically the anti-Angelo, in that he can hit on early picks (with the exception of Shea McClellin, his early rounders are extremely good: Jeffery, Long, Fuller) we just need that depth. Ah well.
  18. This is a perfect capstone to the completely weird and terrible Trestman regime. He's gone full nuclear. Learning he's going to be fired, he's decided to poison the well and destroy the Bears as much as possible before he goes. Amazing. This is a trainwreck of 2006 Cubs proportions
  19. Ryan Mundy falling over is the Bears forever
  20. Given the completely arbitrary rules governing roughing penalties this sport is becoming unwatchable
  21. Someone. Explain to me how that's roughing the passer
