  1. This ump is giving a pretty tight, weird, zone
  2. Schwarber did not, uh, look comfortable there
  3. Those socks don't really work with the road greys, Jake
  4. Ahhh the march of line outs and strike outs begin
  5. I can't tell you how frustrating it is that Coghlan pronounces his name "Cogg-lan" and not "Cough-lan"
  6. I had no idea who this Gyorky guy was at all, nor how some dude I'd never heard of already had a contract they want to unload I uh, haven't been paying much attention the last like 3 years
  7. Desperate moves while squinched up against the trade deadline and without the infield flexibility when trying to give Bryant a day off isn't Joe really taking your advice, sontensei
  8. Chris Coghlan in the 3 spot o_0 No Kris Bryant and David Ross back there. This...is gonna be a series.
  9. I love this whole "would prefer Starlin Castro" over Javier Baez. Well yeah of course, I would much rather give someone a bunch of coal than a bag of diamonds, as well.
  10. Crazy to think Justin Upton is only 27 (soon to be 28) when he's been in the league forever. It also feels like he's already gone through his arc as a player when he is entering the years that (historically considered, sometimes disputed) to be his peak.
  11. One one hand I understand why the Cubs FO is 'aggressively shopping' Starlin Castro, on the other hand, I understand why no team is particularly interested in one of the worst players in the league right now
  12. Bryant in the early 2000s would have totally hit 40 home runs his rookie year EDIT: Good God, Pat Burrell's rookie year in 2000 OPS of .822 was good for only a 106 OPS+ I miss the early 2000's :bye:
  13. So should we expect the Cubs to make a deal now that the most high-profile targets have been gobbled up? I guess Shields is still on the radar?
  14. :? Bryant's batting average has dipped below .250 It saddens me to see his nice slash line drop, its important to me, aesthetically, that his OPS stays above .800 for his entire season
  15. Alright everybody, get ready to squeeze your butt cheeks
  16. To be fair, Rizzo's first homer was pretty surprising and "unlikely"
  17. Looking at At-Bat it looks like Bryant is missing meatballs right down the middle of the plate :(
  18. It's nice that Schwarbs is still reaching base at a nice clip
  19. Regardless of what happens, what an excellent game by Lester
  20. Surely Jonathon Herrera must feel bad about himself today
  21. "In play, runs" is a rude thing to see
  22. Well, at least they're reaching base more often *queue the bullpen disastrously wrecking the game*
  23. Oy please don't attempt to steal bases with Schwarber batting
