  1. Taylor is getting goalline carries. I'd strongly consider him. Otherwise, probably gotta go with Bowe. I failed to mention it's a PPR league. That change your opinion? I picked up Cadet when Thomas went down and he was already starting to get heavily implemented into the passing game plan even before PT suffered the injury. I had pretty much decided to go with Bowe (the scoring in the league leans towards yards/catches more so than strictly TDs) but THIS ARTICLE is making me reconsider. F it. Go Cadet now that Robinson is out too. Cool - thanks! I'm in full meatball "look at me and how smart I am using this deep sleeper" mode now and have no regrets.
  2. That's a tough one. I'd lean Edelman but wouldn't be surprised to see McFadden have a solid game. I think Edelman has more upside, but McFadden may be a tad safer.

  4. My team is really strong with top-end talent but my last couple flex spots are "shots-in-the-dark" a lot of weeks (though I've had some good luck so far) It's a really deep league and I have some flex options on byes so this week is especially tough. Choose one: Dwayne Bowe vs StL Travaris Cadet (Pierre Thomas is out and Khiry Robinson is banged up) vs GB I could also drop one or the other and pick up Eddie Royal today. Alfred Blue and Stephan Taylor are handcuffing the oft-injured Arian Foster and Andre Ellington. Vernon Davis and Boldin are on byes, Pierre Thomas is hurt, and so my only other option is Ladarius Green (Gates has to be hurt at SOME point this year...right?)
  5. Green is playing. I'd go with Bradshaw, Vereen and Forsett. I need a QB between: Ryan v. Detroit Dalton v. Baltimore And a Flex: L Miller v Jax S Vereen v Chi D Baldwin v Car
  6. Cameron
  7. Agree on the bolded. That's a tough one. I'd probably go with AB, Vereen, and Forsett. But I could swap Forsett and Ingram and not see a big difference.
  8. I love the buzz on game day. It'll be a "black out" tonight and while things like that are played out and cliche, the all black uniforms do look amazing. Game days have always been fun, but it's so nice for ECU to be relevant again. To be ranked and hands-down best NC team (well, Duke would perhaps give them a run for their money (how strange is that to say)), has done a ton for this university and town. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going against a poor UCONN team tonight and don't have any slip-ups over the next several weeks. I couldn't imagine how exciting it would be to go to a BSC bowl.
  9. I'd guess the owner's son. And I'd guess the guy on the left is the owner.
  10. Edit: deleted - 2 yr old with an iPad
  11. Hope you started Vereen like I did! Finally paid off for sticking with him all year. Nope. Went with Lamar Miller. Ugh. Now I gotta hope he does well against the Bears. I had Gronk last night and didn't want to put too many eggs in the Pats basket. I'm playing a pretty crappy team and I'm still projected to win despite Gronk scoring a few under his projection. Sorry if I helped sway that decision. I was actually going up against a guy starting Vereen. Both TDs were pretty flukey. A 50 yard pass to a RB (in the air) and a pass where Brady literally checked every other option before firing to Vereen. Hoping Miller does well for you, though it'll be tough since I just traded him before the KM injury.
  12. Too late. Already pulled the trigger. Hope it doesn't bite me in the ass... I think one of Colston/Smith can rebound close to what Johnson will provide going forward. May be too optimistic, but I'm also not crazy about Fitzpatrick. Stacey/Thomas for Tate/Miller could be a bit of a downgrade if (big if) Tate stays healthy all year. But, being a PPR league, I'm banking Thomas is going to have solid production and Stacey to bounce back when he gets healthy. I only need one for a flex spot so I have some flexibility there. I think Moreno (back this week) will start hawking the goal line situations in MIA and it to be 50/50 split (if that, Moreno was getting more touches before he went down). Gronk/Kelce is a no-brainer upside. With NE in a terrible division with terrible receiving options, if (another big if) he can stay healthy Gronk could be a monster for the rest of the year. I like Kelce, but Reid's an idiot and I don't think they'll utilize him to his full capacity this year. Regardless, my depth was really, really weak overall. This gives me a couple more options and allows for me to survive an injury or two. So, right now I have: QB - Rodgers WR - Mike Wallace (WR is now deeper, though still my weak spot. Have some bounce-back higher ceilings now, though) WR - Colston RB - Foster RB - Lynch TE - Gronkowski Flex - Andre Ellington Flex (pick 2) - Pierre Thomas/Zac Stacy/Vernon Davis/T Smith/Boldin/Bowe Backup QB: Russell Wilson Handcuff: Blue Sitting by himself lonely on the bench waiting for an Antonio Gates injury: Ladarius Green Eh. It's not the best team but if the pieces fall right it could win a championship, I think.
  13. I'm with you. Bell and Jackson
  14. Ok here is another. A counter trade proposed to me: I get: Torrey Smith Marques Colston Zac Stacy Pierre Thomas Rob Gronkowski I give: Andre Johnson Ben Tate Lamar Miller Travis Kelce Background - it's PPR. I'm 5-0, but my bench depth is short, especially WR. I originally proposed Andre Johnson/Lamar Miller/Vernon Davis (would keep him in new proposal as flex option) for Gronkowski/T Smith/Branden Oliver My gut says this counter proposal is better than my original offer. Colston/Thomas/Stacy/Smith each have their own question marks but each would be flex options every week (only really needing to choose one). Getting Gronk (fully healthy) could be key and it'd strengthen my overall depth. Love Tate but injuries always a problem and that's a full backfield of talent that I could see going committee sometime - injuries or not. Love Kelce, too, but Reid is still only playing him 50% of the time and Anthony [expletive] Fasano got more targets last week.I'm inclined to accept but would love any feedback. Thanks for being awesome as always, NSBB
  15. Yeah, I previously posted I wished it were best of three. But I'd like to redact that. They're pretty awesome as they are. But, of course I couldn't watch Tuesday night's game and watched all of the meh of last night.
  16. erik sighting I love watching GIFs like these and breaking down the supporting cast in my head. I'm no IMB but I'll give it a crack. Apologies in advance. *First look at the guy to the right. Is he...doing some sort of "horse riding" dance move? Don't. You're not Ginuwine, bro. *The kid to the left. That kid. That. Kid. God. Make it stop. *The lady to his left as she squeals with excitement. *And last but not least the the two females above the strange kid. They are knee deep in a conversation and then point, presumably towards the video board where this atrocity is likely being shown. The girl on the right gasps, covers her mouth, and, on the final frame, turns her head to the left to see what I'm sure she wishes she could burn from her mind forever.
  17. The people who work at Subway are called Sandwich Artists.
  18. I have no idea if this is a terribly hard thing for a hitter, but I remember thinking as a kid it must be a monumental task based solely on Stone and Harry's commentary.
  19. ECU beat UNC handedly, but it was at home (did win 55-31 in 2013 at Chapel Hill, though).
  20. Winston for coach of the year? Kid showed a lot of heart out there.
  21. "We need a half a yard?" "Let's snap it 6 yards behind the line of scrimmage for a handoff even though everyone is expecting a run"
  22. Well it's not Raleigh but I'll gladly take it! They'll travel to Raleigh, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, etc. All are either traveling distance from Greenville or my parents place an hour north of Charlotte.
  23. God I hate UNC. Hoping ECU can wipe the floor with them like last year (in Chapel Hill).
