    Example: Every time I see Melvin Mora talking about [hugging] his wife in the mouth, I know it's Bob Sanders God, that's so awesome. I kinda got immune to it and didn't read it for like a year or so. Then, randomly, paid attention one day lately and appreciated it's awesomeness again like it was the first time. Made me want to search for the "Glendon Rusch attempts to strike out cancer" thing. Back on topic. 87 min!

    Thanks, man. pulled it straight off KCC's site. The lime green backdrop coupled with the hat perched "just so" on top of those amazing bangs was a thing of glory for me. Stellar effort.

    If next year's team is at $92 million and still sucks then I'll be right there with you. Whether you agree with their methods or not, they have been shedding payroll and not putting an emphasis on winning until the "pieces are there". Well they are in AAA and appear to be ready now. Next year they have already said they don't anticipate being in a position of pawning off pieces like a small-market team. They have the core they've wanted (or possibly needed as dictated by the budget) and they'll build around them. I'll be shocked if they don't add impact pieces starting this offseason.

    There is a huge chasm between the two situations. And as much as it sucks, it's evidentially all been about the money. When PTR bought the cubs they had a $144 million dollar payroll. That has since slid to $92 million. Even if $92 million is their cap (which I doubt will be in the near future) they have around $35-40 million dollars they can spend for next year's team and remain within that limit. They can splurge on pitching. Starting this offseason. Edit: beat to the punch by Tim.

    I'm not surprised, but I hate that they are already pre-excusing 2015 failure. They can add pitching over the next 18-24 months without starting to add pitching in months 18-24. My guess/hope is they add a "big name" FA pitcher (Lester, Scherzer, etc), a reclamation-type FA (Masterson, McCarthy, etc), and another young, cost-controlled SP via trade, this offseason. But then again I'm an optimist. However, there is simply so much room in the budget to think they won't be bolstering pitching starting this offseason.

    He threw a lot of innings this year between the regular season and CWS. I want to say I read they may have him throw a couple innings here and there, but maybe they opted to shut him down completely.
