    I know. I think it's the only thing keeping him from going to Iowa. haha, I've said the same thing myself. When he inevitably gets sent to Iowa at some point, I'm hoping somebody new picks up the tradition (I'm looking at you, Arismendy). But, it'll probably go down as another thing a below average Cub does that it pretty awesome and never seen again after they're gone :( .     Really hoping they can draft/afford Cole Sands. I really like from what I've read on him. I'm predicting him in the 11th.

    Isn't it possible they are saving money on some of these 3-10 rounds with "signability" guys (since you'd lose the pool if they go unsigned) and will reach for a couple guys starting in round 11? I'm happy with the first few picks and will reserve any more judgement until after tomorrow (and even then nobody really knows for years how these guys will all play out).

    yeah, I've never understood it. It's entertainment at the very least. And who knows, he could be 100% right and the trade could fall apart last minute. It's just fun to speculate and see if anything materializes. Exactly. Seems like most of this who lash out are the doom boners who gripe about everything negative that happens to the team and just assume nothing good will ever happen. Surprised they didn't work in something about the Cardinals being baseball sorcerers, too. This mentality among some has almost made me stay away from the game threads this year. It's like the Cubs finally have a relevant and fun team to follow and there are still people who don't know how to act. It just gets tiresome.

    Awesome! Catawba's from my hometown of Salisbury, NC. Both my mom and sister are graduates and I routinely rock a Catawba Indians hat around Greenville. That said, I know exactly nothing about this guy.

    Yes. Did it involve the Pearl Jam guy and Lester? I think it was the imminent TV deal that never happened. Yep, Pearl Jam guy was out in the open on this board, and nailed it the whole time. I didn't think that was right but I was drawing a blank. Yeah, the "big" TV deal was definitely it. Kyle was so secretive and he annoyed the whole board (imagine that).
