    I'm sorry if this has been asked, but it's doubtful and didn't feel like reading the 214 posts I've missed. Who is your favorite sports announcer? My vote probably goes to Gus Johnson. Though listening to David Feherty is awesome. I just don't consistently watch enough golf (The Masters made me think of this question).

    Yeah, it was pretty surreal and scary. Staying with a friend because I'm between residencies (another long story) and it's not the best area to say the least. I went down the wrong road that was a dead end. There was some sort of house party or something and apparently I wasn't welcome to turn around. They flashed it to me and then they hopped in their shitty honda civic but I busted ass down the street and got away pretty damn fast. I think they were just trying to scare me. I haven't eaten much with this bug and I'm really, really shaky (from both the bug and this incident I guess). Tried to come to work today and dry heaved for about 30 minutes. So yeah, I haven't emailed Ole Jim back to give my "thoughts".

    Yes. It's embarrassing. I've had a [expletive] stomach bug and some lunatic pulled a gun on me Sunday night (shortly after the game started). I've had a rough couple of days.

    So this is a real life email I received on Monday morning from the other cub fan working here on campus. On the bright side I'm going to try to incorporate the term "dumbling" in day-to-day life whenever possible.

    Agreed. Wood or Jackson traded (preferably Jackson) and the other to the pen when TW is healthy. There should really be no expectation of a legitimate return. I suppose if Wood starts out really strong there could be a larger market; but not all that overly optimistic. I'm just really happy that these fringe-roster cuts/decisions are essentially the only hand-wringing going on with the team. So [expletive] excited about tomorrow night and the future. Off topic but just wanted to throw in - that video board looks fucikng amazing and I can't wait to see it Sunday night.

    tom was promised a lifetime supply of a new and exciting way to guarantee he'd never have to wash a cookie sheet ever again. When did he finally buck up 10 bucks for a cookie sheet? You just put that dough right on the dash of your 96 Corolla on a hot summer day. Yeah. The thing to do is to place the frozen pizza directly on tin foil and then slide the pizza/foil onto the pizza box (unfolded). Then cut and eat off that. No cookie sheet and no plate needed.
