They are terrible, but to be fair, the team is awful and their only good player is injured They are terrible. It's been a few years, but they are terrible. I've been probably 4-5 times, but I've always left feeling that way. The last time I went I did meet a really nice old gentleman (braves fan) at the bar/restaurant across the street from the stadium (The Dugout?) before one game. We chatted baseball and he was just a really nice guy. He said he was going to the game but thought he'd go back and spend time with the wife since he was a little tired (he reminded me a bit of Moonlight Graham, FWIW). He gave me tickets to the "715 Club" which is apparently a private restaurant area overlooking centerfield. When I was there, some frat boy looking bro said to me: Frat dick: "hey that Cubs hat looks new" Me: "yes. it is. I got it today, actually" Frat dick: "figures. loser BANDWAGON (he said this like he heard the term for the first time in his life and wanted to use it for once) fan!" Me: "you know the Cubs are terrible, right? how does that make me a bandwagoner?" Frat dick: *some stupid, failed attempt at a repartee that I've since forgotten* Between him and the fans behind me when I sat in my stadium seats that chanted "19-O-8" *clap, clap, clap-clap-clap*, to be sure I wanted desperately to punch someone in the face by the time I left.
