  1. James Franklin caught "I'm going to fix what's not broken!" disease on that play call. Why line up in that gimmicky formation when you're moving the ball all over UGA's D?
  2. The one against Georgia was an absolute atrocity.
  3. That was one way to start for Missouri. Mauk made two excellent throws there.
  4. Yeah, as soon as I saw LA was doing that I knew it was going to screw him up. I was just hoping it'd be against Pittsburgh.
  5. I just looked it up. Shane Robinson had a .729 career OPS over 8 seasons in the minors. .644 career OPS in MLB.
  6. What's even more incredible about that part is that the Cubs basically INVENTED that idea. I have a Cubs' book (I think it's Cubs Nation by Gene Wojciechowski) that details the beginning of the Cubs Convention, how no other franchise had anything like it. Of course, Leitch is too dumb to know that.
  7. The Atlanta Thrashers don't exist anymore.
  8. He Tweeted late last night 'don't believe everything you read', then deleted it. And his mom told the Chicago Trib he's not sure yet. This whole thing is pretty much a non-issue with six (probably seven) games left, but I'll believe he's coming back when I see it.
  9. Even though this has absolutely no chance of happening, I would love to live in this reality for a while just to see what it was like.
  10. Yeah, he's fantastic, even in his vampire/zombie like state. It's time. Just bring him back for something. Probably not a statue or jersey retirement, but put a flag on the roof with his name and have a ceremony for it. Without him and Woody, the Cubs would have been even more of a joke than they currently are. He made that team a lot of money. Unless they removed it, there is a flag with his name on it in the roof already from his 66-homer season.
  11. It's too late for you now. You can give your progeny a lifetime of happiness, though.
  12. Notre Dame Stadium is the same way minus the mace (though it's improved a little in recent years). Drives me nuts.
  13. I was browsing NSBB when David said he refused to participate in this...
  14. I'd only been a Cubs fan for about 4 years, so I was dumb enough to not be THAT broken up about it, because I was young and we had Wood and Prior and Zambrano and Sammy and surely we'd be right back in contention again soon, right? [expletive] stupid teenage Andy. 2008 still hurts more, though, both because that team was better and because I knew that was probably our best shot for some time.
  15. That was pretty terrific. I wanted Detroit to win this series when it started, but we're rapidly approaching the "please God stop STL from winning" phase of October, and I think Boston has a better shot against them.
  16. Counterpoint: 15 weeks of college football is better than 14, even if some weeks aren't great. Also: We have two matchups this week featuring two teams in the top 13. That's pretty damn nice.

  18. They don't have the lead, dude. Gotta save him for a save spot dude. /dusty
  19. I have nieces that are 4 and 6. The thought of someone harming them makes me physically ill. Ugh. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk now Free
  20. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS poles. I'd much prefer some obstructed view in the 200 level in order to have great views in the 400s. Yep. People who hate Wrigley always bellyache about the poles. Don't buy seats there, then. 400 level seats have incredible views and the reason's those damn poles.
  21. Mostly the fans of teams who have nothing to do with that conference's success
  22. If the Cards were willing to pay that, I'd almost like to see it happen. Almost. That's an absolute haul, a good chunk of their near-term rotation and two of their three best young position players. As other worldly as Trout is, I'd have to think the Cards would lose a good chunk of WAR in that exchange. Then again, others would probably magically ascend from the minors to fill the gaps. Pixie dust and all that nonsense. I'd make them take Pujols back. I think any hypothetical negotiations would HAVE to start with them taking Pujols back.
  23. I can't believe the way they make me feel. I don't like when the Cubs/Packers lose big games, but I actually get more angry when the Cardinals win than when my teams lose. It's not quite to that extreme for me, but I definitely hate when they win way more than when any other team wins. I don't watch their games, so at least I don't see them pull this [expletive] live.
  24. I blame Washington's ridiculous handling of Strasburg last year for that more than I blame STL. They were just the lucky bastards that got to play them.
