  1. Yeah, last year in the same league my Spiller/Wilson fiascos are happening in this year, I went 5-8 but led the league in scoring in four different weeks, meaning I was 1-8 when ANYONE outscored me. Still can't believe it.
  2. My opponent this week grabbed Roy Helu off the scrap heap just because he had no one else to start. 22 points. Barring a Cruz/Nicks offensive explosion tonight, I will be 1-6 in that league (that's what happens when you get C.J. Spiller and David Wilson as your RBs). In another league, I entered the week 1-5 and the 3rd-highest scoring team in the league (out of 12), and I'm losing again. Crummy year. Even my 6-0 team will lose this week because my opponent had Calvin Johnson and Vincent Jackson, both of whom eclipsed 30 points.
  3. Confirmed by Schefter.
  4. Yeah, he can't challenge. Not sure why NBC was saying he could. Would've been a Jim Schwartz situation. That should have been reviewed.

  6. Nice cheap shots by two different Rams on two straight plays. We'll take those yards, thanks.
  7. Man, I knew Carolina was going to give STL a bunch of momentum after only getting a FG there, but didn't realize it'd be so quick.
  8. And 15. 4 of those are in the SEC. The league so often cannibalizes itself. Until this year, it was the complete opposite. Wasn't the top 6 something like 48-0 against the bottom 8 over the last 2 years? Regardless, even though the SEC isn't as good at the top, I'm more impressed with the league this year. The Tennessees, Vandys, Ole Miss's and Auburns of the league aren't walkovers as they had been lately.
  9. Cronos is an STL fan, fellas.
  10. You'd think IU would be aware by now that Gallon is pretty good, but he's wide the [expletive] open every single play.
  11. Charlie Weis' team is up 2 TDs on Oklahoma, who beat ND by 2 TDs. Think we should hire that guy?
  12. James Franklin caught "I'm going to fix what's not broken!" disease on that play call. Why line up in that gimmicky formation when you're moving the ball all over UGA's D?
  13. The one against Georgia was an absolute atrocity.
  14. That was one way to start for Missouri. Mauk made two excellent throws there.
  15. Yeah, as soon as I saw LA was doing that I knew it was going to screw him up. I was just hoping it'd be against Pittsburgh.
  16. I just looked it up. Shane Robinson had a .729 career OPS over 8 seasons in the minors. .644 career OPS in MLB.
  17. What's even more incredible about that part is that the Cubs basically INVENTED that idea. I have a Cubs' book (I think it's Cubs Nation by Gene Wojciechowski) that details the beginning of the Cubs Convention, how no other franchise had anything like it. Of course, Leitch is too dumb to know that.
  18. The Atlanta Thrashers don't exist anymore.
  19. He Tweeted late last night 'don't believe everything you read', then deleted it. And his mom told the Chicago Trib he's not sure yet. This whole thing is pretty much a non-issue with six (probably seven) games left, but I'll believe he's coming back when I see it.
  20. Even though this has absolutely no chance of happening, I would love to live in this reality for a while just to see what it was like.
  21. Yeah, he's fantastic, even in his vampire/zombie like state. It's time. Just bring him back for something. Probably not a statue or jersey retirement, but put a flag on the roof with his name and have a ceremony for it. Without him and Woody, the Cubs would have been even more of a joke than they currently are. He made that team a lot of money. Unless they removed it, there is a flag with his name on it in the roof already from his 66-homer season.
  22. It's too late for you now. You can give your progeny a lifetime of happiness, though.
  23. Notre Dame Stadium is the same way minus the mace (though it's improved a little in recent years). Drives me nuts.
  24. I was browsing NSBB when David said he refused to participate in this...
